Inversion Method For Hair Growth

Rapid hair regrowth has been desirable for centuries, and there is no lack of ads, gimmicks or shampoos, and hair oils claiming to increase the length of your hair in weeks. You might have also seen beautiful ladies with long beautiful hair stressing how a particular shampoo or oil has changed their lives for the better, and their stories are backed by before and after images of their hair journey. Even though we know all these tricks and false claims make no sense, yet every time someone sits with a bottle in hand claiming to have experienced fast hair growth, we tend to believe and, many times, try for ourselves.

One of the most popular concepts or a trick to increase hair growth that has surfaced among hair enthusiasts is the inversion method for hair growth. So if you are here to learn what the inversion method is and if the inversion method for hair growth actually works, here is everything you need to know, including how to do the inversion method and if it is effective. Read on to learn more.

What is Inversion Method?

Initially, the inversion method rose as a trend on the internet, where many claimed that the technique could help you increase one or two inches of your hair in a month. However, the inversion method for hair growth has its base rooted in hair science. In the inversion method, you inverse yourself or your head, which causes more blood flow to your head, which many believe in helping in hair growth.

When you tilt your head in the inversion position, the blood supply in your scalp and hair follicles increases, leading to better oxygen flow which helps rejuvenate the hair follicles. It helps in the growth of your hair by one or two inches in a month.

Benefits of Inversion Method For Hair Growth

Now that we know the inversion method for hair growth is backed by specific scientific facts that are time tested, are there any other benefits of the inversion method to grow hair?

Apart from the inversion hair growth quick method, it also claims to offer certain other health benefits such as –

Improved concentration

When you do the inversion method for hair growth, the blood flow on the head increases, passing more oxygen and nutrients to the brain, resulting in improved concentration and focus. You feel more agile and alert.

It is an anti-aging benefit

Think of how it works – you inverse, and the blood flows into your scalp, letting out new blood cells to your scalp. As you reap the benefits of long hair, you will also see a glow in your face and a facelift. When you are upside down, the oxygen and nutrients spur the natural facial capillaries and enhance the glow in your face.

Promotes lymphatic drainage of your body

The lymphatic system is accountable for getting rid of the fluid waste from the body. However, if the lymphatic system doesn’t work the way it should, it can cause fluid retention and toxin buildup. So when you do the inversion method for hair growth, it helps fluid drain out and boost the lymphatic system. It also helps to improve your immunity.

How to do Inversion Method for Hair Growth?

Now that you have enough reasons to get started with inversion method hair growth, here is how you can do it-

You can begin with some essential oil massage which is also an excellent exercise for hair growth. However, using hair oil is optional. If you want to use any essential oil, you can choose lavender oil, rosehip oil, chamomile oil or pine tree oil, or any oil of your choice. Here are the steps to follow-

  1. Dilute 4-5 drops of essential oil with a carrier oil of your choice
  2. Next, with the help of your fingertips, apply the oil to your scalp and comb through the ends
  3. Massage your scalp gently using circular motions for about 5 minutes

If you want, you may warm the oil for hot oil treatment for hair. It is a common and effective ayurvedic treatment for hair fall, effective in the hair growth and hair regrowth cycle.

Once you are done doing the scalp massage, you are ready for the inversion method for hair growth. To begin with, hang your head upside down to increase the blood flow to your scalp.

  1. Sit in a comfortable position, better if you sit on a chair
  2. Leave your hair loose and held your head downward
  3. Keep your knees apart and try to sit in that position for at least 4 minutes.
  4. Sit up slowly to avoid any head rush
  5. Shampoo your hair with a mild shampoo

Repeat this inversion method for hair growth every day for one week. You can do this for one week a month. Make sure not to over-shampoo your hair as it will make them dry. See that you don't drench your hair in oil, just the right amount to massage your scalp and the roots. The oil should not be dripping.

If you decide to skip the hair oil massage, you can do so. However, in that case, avoid the shampooing part as well.

Is the inversion method hair growth safe & effective for hair regrowth?

If you ask for safety guidelines for the inversion method for hair growth, there isn’t any as this method has not been studied widely. While you are sitting with your head hung between your legs, it cannot harm you; hanging upside down can affect your body. You should be mindful and careful enough when doing any exercise that demands body strength. If you have high blood pressure or heart-related diseases, it is best not to try the method.
