    • Take the seeds off the pan and keep them aside for a few minutes.
    • Boil half a litre of water. Once boiling, add the roasted seeds.
    • Keep boiling till you notice the colour of the water changing to light brown. This generally happens in a few minutes.
    • Strain the water.
    • Keep drinking throughout the day, especially after meals.

  • Ajwain and honey water
  • Another way is soaking the seeds overnight and adding honey to enhance the efficacy of Ajwain for weight loss. This drink along with a low carb diet can start showing results within three months.

    • Soak two teaspoons of Ajwain seeds in water overnight.
    • The next morning, strain the water and add a teaspoon of honey.
    • Consume on an empty stomach.

  • Cumin (jeera), Ajwain and Fennel (saunf) water
  • Jeera Ajwain saunf water benefits the digestive system and is an excellent way to use ajwain for weight loss. 

    • Roast one teaspoon of Ajwain seeds, Cumin seeds and Fennel seeds on a low flame. Keep aside once done.
    • To four cups of boiling water, add the roasted seeds.

    • Strain the water and let it cool.

  • Jeera (Cumin) Ajwain water

    • Roast one teaspoon of Ajwain seeds and Cumin seeds on a low flame. Keep aside once done.
    • To half a litre of boiling water, add the roasted seeds.
    • Keep boiling the mixture till you notice a change in the colour, strain the water and let it cool.
    • You can drink this early in the morning on an empty stomach.

  • Ajwain Powder
  • You might not always have the time to prepare the various kinds of Ajwain water drinks described above. In such a case you can use Ajwain powder coupled with fenugreek (hing) and nigella seeds (kalonji).  This is also a method where you can use Ajwain water at night for weight loss.

    • Take equal amounts of Ajwain seeds, fenugreek, nigella seeds and dry roast them separately.
    • Mix all the ingredients after roasting and grind the mixture into a fine powder.
    • The mixture can be stored in an airtight container.
    • Mix a teaspoon of this powder in lukewarm water and drink before going to bed.

    • Take some Ajwain seeds and dry roast them on a low flame.
