Traya Journey at a Glance
- Two years of continuous hair fall with heavy dandruff pushed him to finally seek structured help.
- His root causes: stubborn scalp fungal dandruff plus slow metabolism impacting overall hair and scalp health.
- His personalized hair treatment plan included Anti-dandruff Shampoo, Anti-dandruff Night Lotion, Scalp Oil, Hair Ras and Health Tatva.
- First 1–3 months focused only on internal health and scalp detox, with hair fall control expected around month 4–6 and visible changes from month 7–9.
- With consistency and coaching support every 15 days, he moved from fear of further loss to a clear, long-term recovery path.
“Do saal se ho raha hai” - When Hair Fall Stops Feeling Temporary
For Ravi, a 34-year-old sales professional from Nagpur, it stopped being “normal hair fall” a long time ago.
“Kaafi time ho gaya, do saal se ho gaya,” he told the coach. Two years of watching hair collect in the bathroom, two years of trying not to look too closely at his scalp, and two years of hoping it would somehow settle on its own.
What scared him even more than the thinning? The flakes. He already knew he had “heavy dandruff,” the kind that doesn’t just dust your shoulders but clings to the scalp, itches, and makes you avoid dark shirts. A local doctor had once given him minoxidil, a lotion for dandruff, a ketoconazole shampoo and a tablet. He used them for a while, but there was no long-term relief or guidance, and eventually he stopped.
When his Traya kit finally arrived on 8th December, this call was his first real chance to understand what was actually going wrong.
Understanding His Hair and Scalp Story
On the call, Ravi was quiet, brief, but very clear about one thing: this problem had been going on for years. There was no diabetes, thyroid, or blood pressure issue - “mujhe kuchh bhi nahin” medically. But the dandruff? “Heavy dandruff hai,” he confirmed without hesitation.
The coach had already reviewed his Traya hair test. The pattern was clear: two things were showing up as the main root causes - persistent dandruff and sluggish metabolism.
The conversation shifted from “mere baal gir rahe hain” to what was actually happening beneath the surface: a scalp constantly under fungal attack and a body that wasn’t using food efficiently to nourish the hair follicles.
Root Causes: Dandruff, Metabolism and Hair Fall
The coach explained Ravi’s root causes simply. Heavy dandruff is not just about flakes; it is often driven by a fungus on the scalp. When it is not treated properly and consistently, this fungus creates inflammation, itch and buildup. Every time he scratched his scalp or disturbed those inflamed roots, more hair loosened and fell.
On top of this, his hair test showed metabolism as a concern. In Ayurvedic logic, when metabolism (agni) is low, digestion and absorption suffer. Nutrients from food don’t fully reach the tissues, including the hair follicles. Over time, this digestion and hair fall connection can quietly weaken roots even if basic blood tests look “normal.”
So Ravi’s hair wasn’t just fighting an external enemy (fungal dandruff); it was also not getting the best internal support from his body.
Can dandruff really cause long-term hair loss?
Yes, especially when it is heavy, itchy and left unresolved. Persistent dandruff driven by fungal overgrowth inflames the scalp skin, weakens the follicle opening and makes hair more prone to shedding. When that is combined with poor metabolism or nutrition, the hair never really gets a chance to recover its strength.
His Biggest Doubt: Will This Actually Change Anything?
Ravi didn’t ask many direct questions, but his silences said enough. He had already tried a dermatologist’s prescription - minoxidil, ketoconazole lotion, shampoo, tablet - and still landed here two years later. What he wanted to know, without saying it outright, was: “Is this going to be any different?”
The coach chose to answer the unasked question with clarity and honesty about the timeline.
First, he set expectations: Ravi would need 8–9 months to see visible changes. The journey would move in phases. For the first 1–3 months, the focus would not be on hair growth at all, but on internal health and scalp health - clearing dandruff and stabilising the scalp. From month 4–6, the goal would be to control hair fall. Only around 7–9 months would visible changes, like thicker coverage and less shedding, start to show.
He was equally honest about the hairline. “Hairline mein changes dikhana kaafi difficult hota hai,” he explained. In about 30% of cases they do see improvement, but if an area is already “pura plain,” regrowth cannot be promised. Instead, the priority would be to maintain and protect what Ravi still had.
That mix of realism and hope is what finally made Ravi say, “Han, clear hai… thik hai.”
The Personalized Plan: What Went Into His Kit
Once the “why” was clear, the “what” became easier to follow. The coach walked him step by step through his personalized hair treatment plan.
For his heavy dandruff, he got Anti-dandruff Shampoo and Anti-dandruff Night Lotion. The night lotion with ketoconazole was to be used three times a week, on alternate nights, applied all over the scalp and left on - no massage, just even coverage. On the other nights, he would apply Scalp Oil, leave it in, and then wash it off with the Anti-dandruff Shampoo after at least 30 minutes, two to three times a week. The lotion and shampoo together would work on the fungal root of his dandruff, while the oil would help nourish the scalp that had been stripped and irritated for years.
For his internal balance, he was prescribed Hair Ras and Health Tatva. Hair Ras would support hair follicles from within, balancing pitta and nourishing the deeper tissues that support hair. Health Tatva, with its digestive stimulant action, would work on metabolism, improving nutrient absorption and energy levels so his body could actually use the nutrition he ate to build stronger hair.
The coach even reassured him that these supplements were “hundred percent herbal safe… iske koi side effects nahin.”
In a case like Ravi’s, if a future test ever revealed low iron or anaemia, Traya might layer in Iron Santulan as an additional support for hair fall due to anemia, but for now the major focus was scalp health and metabolism.
Daily Life, Habits and Making It Doable
The coach knew the biggest challenge wouldn’t be the products, but the routine. “Initial month mein routine manage karne mein thoda tough lag sakta hai,” he warned. His solution was practical: keep the night lotion on the dressing table, and the tablets on the dining table so they become visual reminders. If a morning dose was missed, Ravi could take it after lunch - never on an empty stomach.
There was support beyond this one call too. Every 12–15 days, a follow-up call was already planned, with the first one booked for the 26th at the same evening time Ravi preferred. He was encouraged to stay connected through the app, log his routine, and even access a diet plan that matched his details and lifestyle.
It wasn’t just a box of products anymore; it was a monitored journey.
The Turning Point: From Fear to a Roadmap
By the end of the call, something important had shifted. Ravi started the conversation answering in single words - “ji,” “thik hai,” “right.” By the time they finished, he said, “aur jyada clear ho gaya.” The fear of “bas girte hi ja rahe hain” was replaced with a clear structure: first cleanse and calm, then control, then rebuild.
He knew heavy dandruff would be tackled first with the night lotion and Anti-dandruff Shampoo, that Hair Ras would act like a daily tonic for his hair and nervous system, and that Health Tatva would quietly reboot his metabolism in the background. He also knew that once his dandruff was under control, he might be shifted to a serum like Recap Serum or, if needed later, a Minoxidil-based solution for targeted regrowth.
Most importantly, he wasn’t doing this alone. There was a coach, a plan, and a realistic timeline.
