“Sir, abhi jo changes lagenge, vo kitne time mein?”
That was the first real crack in his calm voice.
Ravi, a 35-year-old from a tier-2 city, had been noticing his hair fall for a while. But in the last 6–8 months, it had gone from “thoda jhad raha hai” to “bahut jyada hone laga hai.” The crown was thinning, the hairline was creeping back, and every shower reminded him something was not right.
He had never tried any past treatment. No random oils, no tablets from the chemist. When he finally chose Traya as his first-ever hair treatment, his main expectation was simple: “Ads mein jo result logon ne bataye hain… mujhe lag raha hai ki kuch growth hogi. Baki treatment ke baad pata chalega.”
What he really wanted to know though was: how long will it take, and will it actually work on hair that was already entering stage 4?
Understanding His Hair Concern
On the call with his Traya hair coach, the story started to unfold.
Ravi shared that his hair fall had become significantly worse over the last 6–8 months. The coach could see from his hair test that his crown and hairline were already moving towards stage 4 hair loss, where follicles have been under stress for a long time.
When asked about health conditions like low blood pressure, heart issues, migraines or liver problems, he answered clearly: “Abhi main bilkul fit hun, healthy hun.” No chronic illnesses, no major diagnosis.
But there was one quiet detail he almost brushed aside: “Gas… vo thoda bahut rehta hai.” He often experienced gas, acidity, and bloating. To him, it felt like a side annoyance. To an Ayurvedic lens, it was a big piece of the puzzle.
He had no dandruff, no itching, no visible flaking. Just steady, stubborn hair fall and a thinning crown.
The Root Cause: More Than Just Weak Follicles
The coach explained that Traya would not just throw a serum at his scalp. His plan would work inside-out, starting with root causes over the first three months: stress, digestion, metabolism, and nutrition.
For Ravi, the digestion angle was particularly important. Those “thoda bahut” gas and bloating episodes hinted that his gut wasn’t absorbing nutrients optimally. In Ayurveda and modern science, the digestion and hair fall connection is very real: if the gut is sluggish or irritated, the nutrients from food don’t effectively reach hair follicles. Over time, follicles become undernourished, weaker, and shrink.
On top of that, his scalp had already progressed towards stage 4. That meant many follicles were miniaturised - still alive, but producing thinner, shorter hair.
So his plan had to do three things together: improve internal health so nutrition reaches the scalp, protect existing follicles from further damage, and stimulate new growth in areas like the crown.
Can poor digestion really make hair fall worse?
Yes. When your digestion is irregular or you frequently have gas, acidity, or bloating, your body struggles to absorb and utilise nutrients properly. Hair follicles are among the last tissues to receive nutrition, so any deficit shows up quickly as hair thinning and increased shedding. Correcting digestion helps ensure that whatever you eat can actually nourish your hair roots.
His Biggest Doubts and Fears
Once he heard the 8–12 month timeline, Ravi’s first question was very human: “Abhi jo mujhe thoda lagega, changes lagenge, vo kitne time mein?”
The coach broke it down clearly.
First 1–3 months: focus on internal health. Hair fall might not stop immediately, but the foundation would get stronger.
Around 4–6 months: hair fall should come under control.
By 7–9 months: once the fall is controlled and hair is better nourished, new growth can be promoted.
By 10–12 months: visible changes, especially in the crown area.
There was another sensitive moment when the coach told him about minoxidil shedding. He warned in advance that once Ravi started the minoxidil serum, his hair fall could initially increase: “Initial few weeks ke liye hamara hair fall pahale se badh jata hai, due to hair shedding.”
Ravi immediately tried to make sense of it: “Matalab jo pehle se kamzor wale hain, unko nikal dega?”
Exactly. The coach reassured him that shedding targets weak, already compromised hairs, to make space for stronger ones. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s a positive sign that the follicles are responding.
How the Coach Built His Plan
Unlike quick, one-size-fits-all solutions, Ravi’s hair coach treated this like a journey.
First, he set expectations with honesty: with Ravi’s age and stage, this would be an 8–12 month journey, not a 4-week miracle. The immediate goal was to stop things from getting worse. Any new growth at the hairline would be a bonus, and there was a realistic chance - “hamare 30 percent aise cases rahe hain jahan hairline pe visible growth dekhi gayi hai.”
Then came the step-by-step usage guidance, because confusion around products can kill consistency. Ravi admitted, “Thoda sa use mein confuse tha, sir.”
The coach patiently untangled everything.
For scalp nourishment and follicle stimulation, he had Scalp Oil plus a Growth Therapy booster. The small bottle was the growth oil shot; the bigger, thicker one was the coconut-based scalp oil. He had already mixed them correctly, but was unsure about the texture. Since coconut oil thickens in winter, the coach suggested warming the bottle slightly in lukewarm water to make it liquid and easier to apply. This oil mix would be applied twice a week, at least 30 minutes before washing with Defence Shampoo.
For direct follicle stimulation, he was prescribed minoxidil serum with Procapil, applied twice daily - 1 ml in the morning, 1 ml at night, using the dropper to gently spread it on the scalp without vigorous massage.
For internal support, he had two key supplements: Hair Vitamin after breakfast to cover nutritional gaps and support DHT control, and Hair Ras 01 at night (two tablets) to work on stress, metabolism, bloating, constipation and thereby support hair from within. Hair Ras 01 fits his profile perfectly because it is designed for men dealing with hairfall along with issues like stress, low energy, gas, bloating and constipation.
Together, these created a structured, personalized hair treatment plan: topical support, scalp health, and deep internal repair.
Weaving Traya Products into His Daily Life
Ravi’s routine, once broken down, was actually simple.
Mornings: after breakfast, he takes his Hair Vitamin and applies his first 1 ml dose of minoxidil serum on the scalp, gently spreading it. No massage, no tugging. Just a quick, precise application.
Evenings: he applies the second minoxidil dose. If it’s an oil day, he warms the Scalp Oil + Growth Therapy mix, massages it into his scalp at least half an hour before his shower, then washes it off with Defence Shampoo. The shampoo is sulphate- and paraben-free, so it cleanses without roughening hair already stressed by stage 4 loss.
Nights: after dinner, he takes two Hair Ras 01 tablets. This is where his gut issues are addressed: Hair Ras 01 supports digestion, metabolism and bowel regulation, helping ensure nutrients actually reach his hair follicles and reducing the internal triggers that were silently fueling his hair fall.
The coach also reassured him that all Ayurvedic tablets in his kit are herbal, safe, and meant to be taken after food, never on an empty stomach.
The Emotional Shift: From Fear to Focus
By the end of the call, Ravi’s language changed subtly.
At the start, he was mostly seeking reassurance from ads and other people’s results. He didn’t know if his own hair could recover from this level of thinning.
After understanding the timeline, mechanism, and exact usage, he said simply: “Ji ji, samajh mein aa gaya, bilkul.” He had already started his products the previous day and felt more confident about staying consistent.
He now knew that even if shedding increased in the first few weeks, it was expected. He knew exactly how to handle the thick winter oil, how often to use shampoo, and what each tablet was doing inside his body. And perhaps most importantly, he knew that someone would check on him in 10–12 days, and again over the coming months, adjusting the plan as needed.
For someone watching his crown disappear over 6–8 months, that kind of guided, monitored approach can be the difference between quiet panic and calm commitment. The coach’s promise that with regular treatment his current stage would not worsen became a powerful anchor.
For men like Ravi, whose hair fall is tied to hidden gut issues and long-standing follicle stress, recovery is not overnight. But with a plan that connects digestion and hair fall, topical science and Ayurvedic logic, shedding and regrowth start to feel like chapters of a story - not the end of it.
