When Hair Fall Becomes a Habit You Can’t Ignore
“I’ve been losing hair for four - five years now,” he said matter‑of‑factly, as if he were talking about a stubborn old habit.
Let’s call him Raj, a working professional from a smaller city who finally decided to do something about his hair. For years he’d watched the gradual thinning, the scalp becoming a little more visible, the hairline not quite where it used to be. There was no dramatic moment with hair clogging the shower drain; it was more like a slow, unsettling fade.
Raj hadn’t tried any fancy treatments before Traya. No “miracle” oils, no home remedies. Just acceptance and a quiet hope that maybe it would stop on its own. It didn’t.
When his Traya kit finally arrived, he did something not many people do: he followed the chart exactly. “Main timely kha bhi raha hun… jo timing apne batayi hai, usi hisab se kha raha hun, use kar raha hun,” he told his hair coach proudly.
Understanding Raj’s Hair and Health Story
On the call, Raj’s coach Purnima started where it matters most: his history. Hair fall for 4–5 years. No previous treatments. No severe medical conditions apart from diabetes, for which he was already on medication.
The next step was connecting his symptoms to deeper causes. Based on his hair test, Purnima explained, “Jo aapka root cause hai… vo aapke sleep, metabolism, nutrition aur genetics ke karan ho raha hai.”
It wasn’t just about hair strands falling. His body had, over years, slipped into a pattern: sugar issues pointing to metabolic imbalance, likely uneven nutrition absorption, disturbed sleep, and a genetic tendency all quietly chipping away at his follicles. This is the digestion and hair fall connection in real life - when your system isn’t processing or utilising nutrients well, your hair is one of the first places it shows.
Can poor metabolism really cause hair fall?
Yes. When metabolism is sluggish, the body struggles to convert food into usable energy and circulate nutrient‑rich blood efficiently. Hair follicles, which need steady energy and micronutrients to stay in the growth phase, start receiving a weaker supply. Over time, strands become thinner, weaker, and fall out faster than they are replaced.
The Moment of Doubt: “Side effect to nahi hai?”
Even though Raj was diligently taking his Traya kit, there was one fear he voiced clearly: “Nahin, nahin, usse koi defect to nahin hai, side effect to nahin hai usse?”
With diabetes medicines already part of his routine, he was understandably worried about combining treatments. Purnima addressed this with calm clarity. She asked how he staggered his diabetes medication and Traya supplements; when he replied that he kept a gap of about an hour to an hour and a half, she reassured him this was absolutely fine. The only instruction: maintain a small time gap and always take the Ayurvedic tablets after food.
She also set expectations about Minoxidil, another point that often scares people. She told him that in the first few weeks, he might see slightly more hair fall. Not because things were getting worse, but because weaker, older strands were being shed faster so new, healthier hair could enter the growth phase. “Usse aap ghabraiyega mat,” she emphasised.
That one line matters to someone who has already lived with 5 years of hair fall.
How the Root Causes Were Addressed
Instead of giving him just a serum or shampoo, his coach walked him through a personalized hair treatment plan that tackled his multiple triggers one by one.
For metabolism and nutrient absorption, she focused on Health Tatva. Raj was told to take it once in the morning and once after dinner. Health Tatva is a digestive stimulant that improves how the gut absorbs nutrients from food, supports metabolism, reduces unnecessary fatigue, and calms issues like gas, acidity and bloating. For someone with diabetes and long‑term hair fall, improving absorption is non‑negotiable; hair can only use what the body is actually absorbing.
To support his nutritional reserves directly, she brought in Hair Vitamin. Taken after breakfast, this multivitamin for hair supports scalp health, provides essential vitamins and minerals, and contains natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract and bhringraj extract to protect follicles from hormone‑related thinning.
For overall hair nourishment and pitta balance, she added Hair Ras. With ingredients like amla, bhringraj, ashwagandha and mineral‑rich bhasmas, Hair Ras works like a Chyawanprash for hair, improving blood flow to follicles, nourishing bone tissue (asthi dhatu), and even helping delay early greying.
Because sleep and stress were part of his root cause, his kit also included Nasal Ghrith (Traya Nasal Grit). “Ye aapke sleep cycle ko improve karta hai aur stress se relief dilata hai,” Purnima explained. Two to three drops in each nostril for 21 days help calm the nervous system, support deeper sleep and indirectly protect hair from stress‑induced shedding.
The Daily Routine: Oils, Shampoo and Minoxidil
Raj had already mixed his Scalp Oil with the Calm Therapy booster, just as instructed. Purnima confirmed that was exactly right and asked him to use the blend twice a week, leaving it on for about 30 minutes before washing. The medicated Scalp Oil, prepared with herbs like amla, bhringraj and brahmi in goat milk, is designed to nourish follicles and improve blood circulation, while Calm Therapy adds castor oil and ylang‑ylang to boost moisturisation and reduce stress.
For cleansing, he was using Defence Shampoo two times a week, as mentioned in his kit. This sulphate- and paraben‑free shampoo with Vitamin B3 and AnaGain helps keep the scalp clean, maintain pH, and support a healthy environment for follicles without causing breakage.
The most technical part was Minoxidil. Purnima broke it down into simple steps: 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, only on the areas where the scalp is visible and he wants regrowth, applied gently without massaging. Minoxidil, especially when combined with actives like Procapil, reverses the miniaturisation of follicles by improving blood flow and nudging more hair into the active growth phase.
She balanced hope with honesty about the hairline: regrowth in the frontal line is more difficult and happens in about 30 percent of cases. But with consistent use, Traya could definitely help preserve and strengthen the hair he still had and, where possible, bring back new growth.
The Timeline That Gave Him Patience
Raj’s biggest gift from this call wasn’t just instructions; it was a map.
First 1–3 months: The focus would be his internal health - digestion, metabolism, energy, sleep and nutrition. That’s when Health Tatva, Hair Vitamin, Hair Ras and Nasal Ghrith quietly build the foundation.
Months 4–6: He should begin to notice hair fall reducing and his scalp and overall health improving.
Months 7–8: This is when he could reasonably expect to see baby hair coming in, and his existing strands feeling thicker and fuller.
She repeated that being regular - not missing doses, keeping the small gap from his diabetes medicines, and using topicals daily - would decide his outcome.
Resolution: From Quiet Worry to Structured Hope
By the end of the call, Raj’s tone had shifted. At the beginning, his main concern was hidden inside one simple question about “side effects.” Underneath was the fear that trying to fix his hair might harm his health.
After walking through every product, every timing, and every possible reaction, he said, “Ji, clear ho gaya.” He even asked her to book the follow‑up call as suggested, choosing evening as the best time.
His journey is still in progress, but something important has already changed. He’s no longer passively watching 5 years of hair fall build up. He has a clear, multi‑layered plan working on his metabolism, nutrition, sleep, stress and scalp together. For anyone dealing with long‑standing thinning or hair fall due to anemia or chronic health issues, Raj’s story is a reminder that your hair often needs both medical management and deeper system support - and that with structure and guidance, patience becomes a lot easier.
