“Mere baal grey ho rahe hain…” - where her journey really began
She didn’t start the call by talking about hair fall.
She started with, “Mere hair grey ho rahe hain,” almost as if that was the only thing that really bothered her. Let’s call her Kavya, a young working woman from a small city, who had done her Traya hair test and now picked up the first consultation call.
On paper, she had filled in her details, ticked boxes about hair fall, but on the call what came out first was simple and honest: her black hair was turning grey faster than she was ready for. The coach heard the pause behind that sentence and didn’t dismiss it with, “Grey hair can’t be reversed.” Instead, she gently acknowledged that the greying already present couldn’t turn back to black, but that Traya would focus on slowing down new greying and controlling hair fall.
That’s where the real story began: not just with hair on the pillow, but with the fear of what her hair would look like a few years from now.
Understanding what was really causing her hair fall
Once the emotional weight was out in the open, the coach shifted to the “why”. She had already reviewed Kavya’s online hair test and could see a clear pattern: metabolism issues, nutrition gaps, and elevated stress levels were all showing up as root causes.
She explained it in simple Hindi-English, not in heavy medical terms. Because her metabolism was sluggish, the food she ate wasn’t being converted efficiently into usable energy and nutrients for the follicles. Because of poor nutrition and absorption, the scalp and roots were not getting a rich, steady supply of what they needed. And because her stress levels were high, the body was constantly in a “fight or flight” mode, pushing hair into a shedding phase faster than it should.
Instead of just blaming shampoos or weather, the coach painted the full picture: “Stress level increase hone ke karan, proper nutrition na milne ke karan, aapka hair fall increase ho raha hai.” It was layered, not just one simple reason.
Can stress and digestion really affect hair fall this much?
The coach broke it down for her. When stress hormones stay high for long, they disturb sleep, appetite, and hormone balance. That slows down digestion and weakens “agni” - the digestive fire Ayurveda talks about. When digestion is weak, even a good diet doesn’t translate to nourishment. Over time, this digestion and hair fall connection becomes visible as thinning, shedding, and dull hair because the follicles are always underfed and under stress.
A quick Q&A moment on shedding and results
Kavya had the same question almost every Traya customer asks at some point: “Results kab tak dikhai denge?”
The coach answered patiently. She told her that for the first month, the focus would be on preparing the scalp and letting the weakest strands fall, especially after starting Minoxidil. She warned her in advance that initial shedding is actually a good sign that the serum has started working on the hair growth cycle. By the third month, hair fall reduction should become visible. From the fourth month, she could expect to see baby hair and improved texture, as long as she stayed consistent.
That single clear answer turned her anxiety into something more manageable: a roadmap.
The emotional side she didn’t fully spell out
Kavya never directly said, “I feel bad looking at my hair,” but her questions gave it away. She checked again if grey hair could turn black. She asked if she could start the kit “aaj se.” She wanted to know how long each kit would last and when she could expect proper results.
Between the lines, it was clear she didn’t want to waste more time on trial-and-error products. She was already washing her hair three times a week, trying to keep things “normal,” but seeing oil build up if she skipped a wash for a week. Her scalp felt like it was somewhere between dry and oily, and she was quietly worried that every wash might be taking a little volume away.
The coach didn’t make a big deal of it, but she did something important: she scaled her routine down instead of adding more stress. She asked her to wash only twice a week, not three times, so the scalp’s natural balance could be restored.
How the Traya coach became her guide, not just a salesperson
From that point on, the call turned into a detailed, hand-held walkthrough of a personalized hair treatment plan.
First came the hair-wash routine. She was getting Scalp Oil plus a Calm Therapy booster shot. The coach explained how to mix the entire calm oil shot into the scalp oil bottle, shake it, and then use it only twice a week. The oil wasn’t supposed to sit overnight; it needed just 30–40 minutes with a gentle massage before washing off. This kept it in the zone of “self-care ritual”, not a messy, all-night burden.
The Defence Shampoo and Defence Conditioner formed the rest of wash-day. The shampoo was for cleansing and maintaining scalp health without harsh sulfates or parabens. The conditioner was only for the hair length, not the scalp, to prevent build-up and protect hair that might already feel rough from stress and styling. Together, they ensured her scalp stayed clean enough for serums to penetrate well, but not stripped of natural oils.
Then the coach moved to daily internal support - the Ayurvedic part of the plan that would quietly work on her metabolism and stress.
Health Tatva, a 100% Ayurvedic digestive stimulant, would support her sluggish metabolism and improve nutrient absorption, taken once in the morning and once at night after meals. Hair Ras, Traya’s pitta-balancing, hair-nourishing supplement, would work like a daily “Chyawanprash for hair”, two tablets in the morning and two at night. Kamdudha Ras, with Guduchi and mineral bhasmas, would help cool excess body heat and balance pitta, which often flares up as greying, scalp sensitivity, and acidity - two tablets at night after dinner.
To address nutritional gaps directly, she was also prescribed Traya Hair Vitamin, one tablet in the morning after breakfast. With biotin, vitamins, minerals and natural DHT-blocking extracts, it was there to make sure poor nutrition didn’t quietly keep sabotaging her follicles. The coach made one thing very clear: all tablets had to be taken after food for better absorption and to avoid discomfort.
On the topical side, Minoxidil serum completed the plan. One millilitre in the morning and one at night, applied with the dropper exactly where the scalp was becoming visible, and gently spread with fingertips without a heavy massage. On wash days, she had to dry her hair fully before applying it. The coach pre-empted the biggest fear by saying it upfront: hair fall might increase in the early weeks, but that was the weaker strands being pushed out so stronger ones could grow.
It wasn’t just a list of products; it was a timetable she could fit into her life without feeling overwhelmed.
The timeline that turned confusion into calm
Kavya’s next concern was practical: “Ye first kit kitne din ke liye hai?” The coach reassured her that it was a one-month kit and explained the longer journey.
Hair Vitamin was planned for at least three months. Kamdudha Ras would run for around six months. Hair Ras had an eight - month optimum duration. As these supplements completed their courses and root causes improved, they would be removed from her kit, shrinking both the number of products and the overall cost. Later, she would mostly continue only with maintenance products like oil and serum.
This made her iron deficiency hair fall recovery and stress-related shedding feel less like a lifelong punishment and more like a phased treatment with a clear end goal.
Building habits and support beyond the products
Towards the end, the coach introduced her to the Traya app, not as a marketing feature but as a support system. Logging daily supplement and serum usage would earn her coins for discounts on future kits and, more importantly, keep her regular. She was guided to track her meals, height, and weight so a weekly nutrition report could highlight deficiencies and suggest improvements.
Support options were kept open: book a call, request a callback, or chat, all inside the app. She was told that coaches and doctors would stay available throughout, and a follow-up call was scheduled for the next Saturday at the same time, so she wouldn’t feel left alone with her doubts.
By the time the call ended, she wasn’t just someone with “hair fall due to anemia or stress” on a form. She was a person with a map: start the evening doses today, expect some early shedding, watch for hair fall reduction by the third month, and look for new baby hair from the fourth month.
Most importantly, she had someone to reach out to if things felt confusing again.
How her story is set to change
We leave Kavya at the beginning of her journey, not the end. But now, her fear of premature greying and constant hair fall is being met with a structured plan rooted in Ayurveda, dermatology, and nutrition.
Instead of counting strands in the drain every wash day, she knows what each product is doing and why she’s taking every tablet. Her scalp will be soothed and nourished by Scalp Oil with Calm Therapy, her digestion and metabolism will be nudged back to balance with Health Tatva and Hair Ras, her excess pitta will be cooled by Kamdudha Ras, and her follicles will be supported externally by Minoxidil and internally by Hair Vitamin.
From here on, every consistent day brings her a little closer to what she really wants: not just less hair fall, but the confidence that her hair - and her health underneath it - are finally being taken seriously.
