Rohit’s 8-Month Plan for Hair Fall and Dandruff

Rohit’s 8-Month Plan for Hair Fall and Dandruff

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • The problem: Rohit, 25, had been noticing hair fall for over a year - along with dandruff that had become “zyada” (heavy).
  • Root causes identified in his hair test: Genetic tendency, sleep, metabolism, nutrition, and dandruff.
  • What he started with: Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%), Anti-Dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2%), Scalp Oil + Dandruff Therapy (oil shot), Hair Ras, Health Tatva, and Hair Vitamins with Biotin.
  • Timeline set with the coach: First 3 months focused on internal health; months 4–6 expected hair fall reduction; months 7–8 visible changes.
  • Plan evolution: The coach told him he may be switched to minoxidil from the next month for regrowth support, based on progress.

“Sir, kit aa chuki hai.” And suddenly it felt real.

Rohit, a 25-year-old from a busy Indian city, didn’t call Traya to talk about feelings. He called because his kit had arrived and he wanted one thing: clarity.

“Sir… ye try ki kit mangai thi… to ye aa chuki hai,” he said, like someone checking a task off his list.

But as the call went on, it became obvious this wasn’t just a “how to use products” conversation. Rohit had been dealing with hair fall for more than a year. And what started as “mild dandruff” had turned into something he described plainly: “Abhi to zyada hi hai, sir.”

When hair fall lasts a year, it stops feeling temporary

When the coach asked how long Rohit had been seeing hair fall, the answer came quickly: “Lagbhag… ek saal ke upar ho gaya.”

Like a lot of people, Rohit had tried what felt accessible - different shampoos and “adivasi hair oil.” He even mentioned using products like Mamaearth and anti-dandruff shampoos for a couple of months, then switching again when things didn’t change.

That cycle is exhausting: try, hope, quit, repeat. And with dandruff sitting on the scalp, hair fall can start feeling louder - more visible, more constant.

The root cause wasn’t just one thing - and that changed the plan

What shifted the conversation from “products” to “personalized care” was the hair test insight the coach shared. Rohit’s root causes weren’t framed as just dandruff or just genetics. The coach explained that the test pointed to a cluster: genetic tendency, sleep, metabolism, nutrition, and dandruff.

That matters because dandruff and dry scalp hair loss isn’t only about flakes. Dandruff can trigger itching and scalp irritation; when you’re scratching often, hair can break and shed more easily. At the same time, if your metabolism and nutrition aren’t supporting strong follicles, the scalp doesn’t get the kind of consistent nourishment that helps hair stay resilient. And when sleep and stress aren’t steady, recovery can feel slower.

This is also where Rohit’s journey became a personalized hair treatment plan rather than a “one product fix.”

Q: Does dandruff actually cause hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching and scalp inflammation, it can weaken scalp health. That irritation and constant scratching can increase hair fall and breakage, even if the root cause also involves internal factors like metabolism and nutrition.

The questions he asked were simple - but they revealed real worry

Rohit’s doubts didn’t come out as dramatic statements. They came out as practical questions, the kind you ask when you’re about to commit to a routine for months.

He double-checked names: “Shampoo ka pura naam kya hai?”
He clarified frequency: “Hafte mein do se teen baar?”
He asked about routine flexibility: could he do Sunday-Monday, and still be okay?
He asked the kind of question people ask when they’re unsure but trying: “Wash kab karna hai - subah?”

And he had one more concern that’s surprisingly common: he keeps longer hair on top and wanted reassurance that oiling and shampooing won’t become a problem with his hairstyle. The coach calmed him down immediately: no issue, “nishchint rahiega.”

The turning point was the coaching - how everything got simplified

The most helpful part of the call wasn’t a claim or a promise. It was structure.

The coach broke Rohit’s routine down into clear, repeatable actions:

He was told to use the Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%) two to three times a week. This shampoo is meant to reduce dandruff and prevent further fungal growth, helping soothe scalp inflammation.

Then there was the Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2%), to be applied at night three times a week, spread lightly “massage nahin karna,” and washed the next morning.

And the “combine use” routine made it feel doable: apply the night lotion, wake up and apply oil, keep it for at least 30 minutes, then wash with the anti-dandruff shampoo - so three steps got linked into one flow.

He also got Nasal Ghrit (nasal drops) for sleep and stress support: three drops on each side at bedtime, for 21 days.

On the internal side, the coach explained supplements with a timeline:

  • Hair Ras: two tablets after breakfast and two after dinner daily, for an 8-month course. In Traya’s Ayurvedic logic, Hair Ras supports scalp and hair health by balancing pitta dosha and improving blood circulation to the follicles, with herbs like Amalaki, Bhringraj, Shatavari, and Ashwagandha.
  • Health Tatva: one tablet after breakfast and one after dinner. It’s positioned as a digestive stimulant supporting metabolism and nutrient absorption - important when your hair health is tied to the digestion and hair fall connection.
  • Hair Vitamins with Biotin: one tablet after breakfast daily, for three months, to support hair nourishment and address nutritional gaps.

And Rohit got the Scalp Oil with a Dandruff Therapy oil shot mixed into it - applied twice a week, at least 30 minutes before washing. The oil massage approach (Shiroabhyanga) is meant to nourish follicles and support scalp health.

The timeline gave him patience - without false guarantees

Rohit didn’t ask, “When will I see results?” but the coach still answered what most people silently worry about.

He set expectations across eight months:

  • First three months: focus on internal health and dandruff control
  • Months four to six: hair fall reduction
  • Months seven to eight: visible changes begin

The coach also spoke honestly about hairline regrowth, saying they can’t assure it, though some customers see regrowth and the plan will help prevent further worsening and support maintenance.

And he flagged a potential upgrade: from the next month, Rohit may be switched to minoxidil for regrowth support, depending on progress.

Resolution: a routine he could actually start “aaj se”

At the end, Rohit sounded calmer - not because everything was solved in one call, but because he knew what to do next.

“Main aaj se kar dunga, sir,” he said.

That’s the real shift: from trying random shampoos for “do-teen mahine” and leaving them halfway, to starting a structured plan with check-ins, a clear routine, and a realistic timeline.
