Rahul’s 5-Month Plan for Dandruff & Hair Fall

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Key problem: 1.5 years of hair fall with a receding front hairline and visible thinning on the top (crown area)
  • Likely root causes discussed: digestion issues (acidity/bloating), nutrition gaps, and heavy dry dandruff
  • What he used: anti-dandruff shampoo + anti-dandruff night lotion, Scalp Oil mixed with a dandruff booster oil, Digest Boost, Hair Ras, and Hair Vitamin (with a plan to switch to Minoxidil serum next month for regrowth support)
  • Timeline set with coach: first 2 months for internal health + dandruff; hair fall control by months 3–4; visible improvement from month 5 onward
  • Outcome focus: manage and maintain the front hairline, while aiming for visible regrowth in the crown area with consistent use

“I started just yesterday,” Rahul said, almost like he was testing the words in his mouth to see if they could turn into belief.

It had been a year and a half of watching hair fall continue, and now the change wasn’t just on the comb. It was on his scalp too - especially around the front hairline where, as he put it, “the side front hairline… is going back,” and even the top of his head had started looking thinner.

When hair fall stops feeling ‘normal’

Rahul, a working professional from a busy Indian city, hadn’t tried anything major before this. No PRP, no transplant, no Minoxidil. He mentioned he’d once taken some medicines after a doctor consult, but “for a few days, it didn’t really give results.”

In that in-between space - where hair fall is persistent but solutions feel confusing - he finally chose a structured plan.

On his call with Traya hair coach Afsana, Rahul shared the three things bothering him the most: hair fall for 1.5 years, heavy dandruff that was dry in nature, and occasional acidity and bloating.

And then came the moment that made it real: he acknowledged what he was seeing in the mirror. His hairline was shifting, and his crown area was showing.

The root cause wasn’t just “hair”

Afsana didn’t frame Rahul’s case as a single-issue problem. She explained his root causes as a combination of digestion, nutrition, and dandruff - and built his timeline around that.

That matters, because dandruff and dry scalp hair loss can become a loop: dandruff leads to itching and irritation, and the scalp environment becomes unfriendly for healthy hair. At the same time, Rahul’s “thoda sa” acidity and bloating hinted at the digestion and hair fall connection - when digestion is off, your system may not be getting or using nutrients efficiently, which can show up in hair quality and shedding over time.

So instead of only focusing on what goes on the scalp, the plan also supported internal nourishment and digestion - essential when hair fall has been going on for months.

Q: Can dandruff and digestion issues really affect hair fall together?

Yes. In Rahul’s plan, dandruff care was paired with digestive support because a healthier scalp environment and better nutrient absorption work together to support hair health over time.

The doubt he asked out loud

Rahul’s most human moment wasn’t about fear of baldness. It was a simple, practical worry - one that proves he was trying to follow the plan properly.

He asked, “If I use the lotion at night, then in the morning I’ll have to clean it with shampoo, right?”

Afsana clarified gently: no. He didn’t need to shampoo it off right away. He could apply the oil over it, then shampoo as directed. That one answer did more than clear confusion - it removed friction. When routines feel complicated, people quit. When they feel doable, they continue.

That’s what a personalized hair treatment plan is really about: not just products, but clarity.

The turning point: a timeline that made it feel manageable

Afsana laid out Rahul’s journey in plain language.

The five-month timeline was divided into phases: the first two months focused on internal health, hair health, and dandruff control; by months three to four, hair fall should come under control; and from month five onward, visible improvement could start showing on the scalp.

She also set expectations where it matters most. On the front hairline, she was transparent: “Front hairline regrowth is not assured.” The goal is to manage and maintain it, and prevent it from going further back - while noting that some customers do see improvement there.

For Rahul, that honesty likely mattered. It turned the promise into a plan.

What Rahul’s kit included - and why it fit his concerns

Rahul had already begun using the kit “since yesterday,” and his routine was designed around the exact issues he reported.

He was guided to use:

The Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole IP 2%) three times a week at night, gently spread across the scalp without rubbing or massaging. It’s meant to reduce dandruff by targeting the fungal cause and supporting scalp health.

The Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole IP 2%) three times a week, to help reduce dandruff and soothe inflammation so the scalp can stay healthier.

The Scalp Oil, mixed with the small dandruff booster oil bottle, twice a week in the morning, 30 minutes before shampoo. In Ayurvedic logic, regular oil massage and nourishment help support scalp and follicle health through improved circulation and hydration.

For internal support, he was advised:

Digest Boost twice daily after meals, to support digestive wellness and help reduce gas, bloating, and discomfort. It’s described as not a laxative, but a way to restore gut health and support digestion.
Hair Vitamin once daily after breakfast, to support nutritional gaps and hair health with vitamins, minerals, and natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract and green tea extract.
Hair Ras twice daily (two tablets after breakfast and two after dinner), positioned as daily natural hair nourishment that helps balance pitta dosha, supports circulation to hair follicles, and nourishes asthi dhatu.

And because Rahul’s hairline and crown thinning needed stronger regrowth support, Afsana flagged an upcoming adjustment: next month, he’d be switched to Minoxidil serum to support regrowth and density - especially in the crown area where she said regrowth is more likely to be visible with consistent use.

The resolution: not a one-day fix, but a steady comeback

Rahul didn’t end the call with dramatic emotion. He ended it with something more useful: commitment.

“Ekdam,” he said when asked if everything was clear.

He also agreed to a follow-up call, and set a time that worked for him - 1:30 PM - because this journey wasn’t being left to chance. It was going to be monitored, adjusted, and supported.

For someone who had lived with hair fall for 1.5 years, that structure can be the first real relief: not just hope, but a plan he can actually follow.
