“Bas kit aa gaya hai… kaise use karna hai?”
Nikhil, a 34-year-old IT professional from Nagpur, had been watching his hair thin for almost three years. He’d tried what many of us do first: the “famous” tribal oil everyone was talking about, a random shampoo that seemed nice because it foamed well and smelled good. Nothing really changed.
When his Traya hair coach called, his first line was simple and honest: “Nahin, actually kaise use karna hai… kit to aa gaya hai mere paas.” The products had finally arrived. What he didn’t have yet was clarity, a roadmap, or the assurance that this time wouldn’t just be another failed experiment.
Living with slow, stubborn hair fall
On the call, Nikhil shared that his hair fall had been ongoing for “do - teen saal.” It wasn’t an overnight shed; it was the kind that creeps up on you. A little extra hair on the pillow, more stuck in the comb, and gradually a more visible scalp when he looked in the mirror.
He had no major medical conditions apart from thyroid, for which he was already taking tablets. There was some on-and-off dandruff. No blood pressure issues, no breathing trouble, no dramatic illness he could point to. Which is exactly what made it so frustrating. From his side, he felt like he was “theek” - yet his hair told another story.
Like many men, he’d never done a structured treatment. No earlier dermatology visits, no detailed assessment. Just an adivasi oil for half a bottle, a shampoo someone recommended, and then giving up when nothing changed.
The root cause: not just one problem, but four
After going through his Traya hair test in detail, the coach didn’t just tell him what to apply where. She first explained why his hair was falling.
There were four main contributors: genetics, sleep disturbance, digestion issues and dandruff. In other words, his follicles were under pressure from multiple angles. The genes made his follicles more sensitive and prone to miniaturisation, poor sleep and stress drained the body’s ability to repair, sluggish digestion meant weaker nutrient delivery, and recurring dandruff inflamed the scalp.
Instead of treating these in isolation, the Traya plan stacked them together into one story: his scalp and body needed to be brought back into balance if he wanted lasting results.
Can digestion really be connected to hair fall?
The coach explained it in a way that made sense to Nikhil. If your gut is sluggish, constipated or often gassy, the nutrients you eat don’t fully translate into fuel for your cells. The scalp is the last place to get its share when the body is under stress. That’s the digestion and hair fall connection Traya focuses on - fixing absorption so follicles are actually nourished from within, not just coated from the outside.
A quick Q&A during the call
Nikhil’s first big doubt came when the coach mentioned minoxidil.
He asked, “Kaise use karna hai?” but what he really meant was, “Is this going to make things worse before they get better?”
She explained that in the first few weeks, he might see more hair shedding. The weak, thin strands that were already on their way out would fall sooner. It can look scary, but it’s actually a positive sign that the serum is pushing old hair out so stronger strands can take their place. She reassured him clearly: “Ghabraiye mat, yeh aapke favour mein hi work karega.”
That honest expectation-setting turned anxiety into acceptance.
The emotional impact beneath the calm tone
On the surface, Nikhil sounded composed. He didn’t explicitly say he’d lost confidence or avoided social situations, but you could hear urgency in how often he repeated, “Bas kit aa gaya hai… kaise use karna hai, ek baar agar aap inform kar denge to better rahega.”
After years of slow thinning and half-hearted remedies, he wanted someone to tell him exactly what to do, step by step. Not in complicated medical language, not with grand promises, but with a plan he could actually follow daily while working a full-time job.
The frequent mention of his office - “main to office mein hoon, woh to ghar pe hai” - showed another reality: his life was busy, his time limited, and whatever he did for his hair had to fit into that.
The Traya coach steps in as a guide, not just a salesperson
Instead of jumping straight to products, the coach built a journey and a timeline.
She told him that in the first two months, the priority would be controlling dandruff and improving internal health. By month three to four, the focus would be on bringing hair fall under control and improving scalp health. Around the fifth month, he could expect to see baby hair regrowth where follicles were still alive. She also set a realistic expectation around his hairline: regrowth at the hairline is harder, but in about 30% of cases Traya has seen improvement there as well. One clear assurance she gave was that the hairline would not worsen if he was consistent.
This was where Nikhil relaxed a bit. Finally, someone was willing to say “thoda mushkil hota hai” instead of overpromising. The coach reframed success not as an overnight miracle, but as a controlled, protected journey where his current hairline would be maintained and density gradually improved.
Weaving the products into his real-life routine
The coach then translated this strategy into a simple, practical daily and weekly routine that matched his lifestyle.
Minoxidil serum: This was his main regrowth tool. He was asked to use 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, only on the visible thinning areas, using the dropper and gently spreading it without massage. Applied always on a dry scalp, after hair wash and drying. She warned him about initial shedding so it wouldn’t scare him later.
Scalp Oil with booster: Twice a week, he would mix the small booster shot into the scalp oil bottle once, and then use that oil in the morning, keeping it on for at least 30 minutes. This medicated oil, loaded with herbs like Bhringraj, Amla and Brahmi as per the Product Bible, would help nourish follicles, calm the mind and improve circulation to the scalp.
Anti-dandruff Shampoo: Two to three times a week, after oiling. The ketoconazole-based shampoo would handle the fungal dandruff and scalp build-up that can worsen dandruff and dry scalp hair loss, leaving a cleaner environment for growth.
Nasal drops: Every night, three drops in each nostril. This simple Ayurvedic step from Traya’s Nasal Ghrit line supports better sleep and stress reduction - key for someone whose schedule and thyroid already strain his system.
Hair Ras supplements: Two tablets after breakfast, two after dinner every day. Hair Ras is designed to balance pitta, nourish the nervous system and asthi dhatu, and support overall hair quality. It’s like a Chyawanprash specifically for hair, working quietly to support long-term iron deficiency hair fall recovery and quality.
Gutt Shuddhi: One tablet at night after dinner, to keep his gut moving, reduce constipation and clear toxins. Instead of acting as a harsh laxative, it gently improves gut motility and supports a healthier microbiome.
The coach also made space for his existing medicines: his thyroid tablet and Ayurvedic multivitamin, asking him to maintain at least a five-minute gap between them and Traya oral supplements so everything is absorbed well.
Building habits and consistency: the real game-changer
What really stood out in this call was how much time the coach spent on routine and habit tips rather than just product instructions.
She suggested keeping the serum on his dressing table or bedside so he sees it morning and night, and placing the supplements on the dining table so they’re linked to meals. For travel, she emphasised that the serum is “travel-friendly, leak-proof, easy to use” and should be carried at all costs, because even if he misses a few doses of other things, maintaining the topical routine would keep progress on track.
She also introduced the Traya app’s features: logging product usage to earn coins, accessing the “How to Use Kit” section, following the diet plan as much as possible, and booking a call under “Need Help” any time he felt stuck. This turned a lonely routine into a guided programme with check-ins and support.
Finally, she booked a follow-up call for him about fifteen days later, on a Sunday evening when he’d be free, to review how well he’d managed to start and how his scalp was responding. That regular monitoring is what transforms a set of bottles into a personalized hair treatment plan that adapts to real life.
The quiet shift: from confusion to commitment
By the end of the conversation, Nikhil’s tone had changed. He moved from “bas ek baar bata dijiye” to “thik hai, main start karunga.” The coach closed by welcoming him to his “hair growth journey” and reminding him that the difference between success and failure wasn’t just the products, but his consistency and patience.
He now knew that his hair fall wasn’t random. Genetics, thyroid, sleep, digestion and dandruff had all been pulling in the wrong direction. With a plan that addressed all of them together - from Minoxidil and Scalp Oil to Hair Ras and Gutt Shuddhi - he finally had a path that made sense, with a guide who wouldn’t vanish after the sale.
And sometimes, that clarity is the first real step towards healthier, fuller hair.
