Neeraj’s 8-Month Plan to Tackle Hair Fall

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Key problem: Continuous hair fall for over a year, plus concern about a “deep line” and wanting regrowth.
  • Underlying root causes discussed: Mild dandruff, and digestive discomfort (acidity, bloating, constipation), along with a lifestyle shift where exercise had stopped.
  • Main products used: Anti-dandruff night lotion + anti-dandruff shampoo (initial phase), Scalp Oil mixed with the Health Oil Shot, Nasal Ghrit drops (21 days), and internal support with Hair Vitamin, Health Tatva, and Hair Ras.
  • Timeline: First 1–3 months focused on internal health + dandruff; months 4–6 for reduced hair fall and healthier scalp; around month 8 for visible changes like baby hair.
  • Outcome focus: A clear, manageable routine with coach follow-ups - aimed at stopping further worsening of the hairline and working steadily toward visible regrowth.

“Bas chal raha hai… one year se upar.”

Neeraj (name changed), a working professional from India, didn’t describe his hair fall as dramatic. He described it as constant. “Mam, ye barabar hi ho raha hai… saal bhar se upar,” he told the Traya hair coach.

Not a sudden shock. Not a one-week spike. Just that slow, nagging daily shedding that makes you keep checking your hair again and again - hoping the amount in your hand will finally reduce.

When the coach asked what he wanted from Traya, his answer was immediate: “Hair fall ruke… aur jo deep line gayi hui andar, vo aa jaaye, kam se kam.” He wasn’t chasing perfection. He wanted his scalp to stop looking more visible than it used to.

When hair fall isn’t “just hair fall”

During the call, the coach did what most people skip: she didn’t jump straight to a product list. She checked Neeraj’s hair test and scalp image first, then reconfirmed his context - no ongoing medicines, no known medical issues, and no past hair-loss treatment. That alone can feel like a turning point, because it tells you: this isn’t generic advice. This is a personalized hair treatment plan built around what’s actually going on.

Two things stood out in Neeraj’s story.

First: dandruff. Not the “heavy sticky” kind he had selected in the test - he corrected that. But it was there. He explained that when he kept checking his hair, “outer dandruff girta hai.” That matters because dandruff can irritate the scalp and push you into more scratching, more inflammation, and more hair fall over time - what many people experience as dandruff and dry scalp hair loss.

Second: digestion. Neeraj said both constipation and acidity were recurring, and he gave a detail that sounded familiar to anyone with a hectic routine: if he delayed meals, “gas type se pura din bhar rahega.” The coach nudged him to restart movement - something as simple as a 15–20 minute walk after meals - because the digestion and hair fall connection is real in Traya’s root-cause approach: when digestion is off, nutrient absorption and overall internal balance can take a hit, and hair is often one of the first places you notice it.

Right then, the goal became clearer: calm the scalp environment, and support internal balance consistently long enough for the hair cycle to respond.

Q: Can dandruff really increase hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching, flaking, and scalp irritation, people often scratch more and inflame the scalp. Supporting scalp health with the right anti-dandruff care helps create a better environment for healthy hair growth.

The doubts that showed up mid-routine

Neeraj wasn’t resistant - he was careful. His questions were the kind that come up when you genuinely plan to follow through.

He double-checked labels: “Label two likha hua hai, wahi wala na?” He asked how many days: “Kitne din?” He clarified sequencing: if night lotion stays overnight, can he apply oil before shampoo in the morning?

And then came the most relatable moment - when the routine meets real life packaging. He got stuck trying to mix the Health Oil Shot into the Scalp Oil bottle: “Ismein hole nahi dikh raha… cap open karne ke baad kuch dikh hi nahi raha.”

Instead of brushing it off, the coach stayed with it, asking what he could see, and told him to open the cap and pour it fully, checking for any seal. It’s a small thing, but it’s also the difference between “I’ll do it later” and actually starting.

What the coach built for him (and why it was staged)

The coach explained the journey in phases - because regrowth isn’t instant, and expecting instant change is where most people quit.

Neeraj’s timeline was set at 5 to 8 months:

  • Months 1–3: work on internal health and dandruff control
  • Months 4–6: hair fall reduction and scalp health improvement
  • Month 8 onwards: visible changes, including baby hair growth

She also set expectations about the hairline: regrowth at the front can be harder, but the aim is to prevent it from getting worse, and in some cases, regrowth can happen there too.

The routine Neeraj committed to

Neeraj’s kit plan was detailed, but it wasn’t complicated once it clicked.

For dandruff control first, he started with Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2% w/v), applied three nights a week on the scalp, spread gently and no massage. The next morning, he washed with the Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole IP 2%) - so the dandruff can be addressed at the scalp level and the flaking/itch cycle can ease.

Alongside this, he had Scalp Oil, which the coach asked him to mix with the Health Oil Shot and apply twice a week, 30 minutes before bathing. This oil routine matters because Ayurvedic scalp massage (shiroabhyanga) and medicated oiling are designed to nourish the scalp and support follicular health by improving blood circulation and hydration at the roots.

To support sleep and stress, he also had Nasal Ghrit - medicated cow ghee processed with herbs like Yashtimadhu, Shatavari, and Jatamansi - taken as three drops in each nostril before sleep for 21 days. The coach shared a practical tip: warm it gently if it has solidified.

And for internal support, he was guided to take everything after meals, not on an empty stomach:

  • Hair Vitamin: 1 tablet after breakfast (focused on nutritional gaps; includes biotin, vitamins and minerals, and natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract)
  • Health Tatva: 1 tablet after breakfast and 1 after dinner (supports digestion, absorption, and metabolism - helpful when acidity, gas, and bloating keep showing up)
  • Hair Ras: 2 tablets after breakfast and 2 after dinner (Ayurvedic nourishment to support scalp and hair health, with a pitta-balancing, tissue-nourishing approach)

Resolution: not a “miracle,” but a plan that finally felt doable

Neeraj didn’t end the call with big emotional lines. He ended it with something quieter - and more meaningful for long-term results: clarity.

“Okay, mam,” he kept saying, as the steps became simpler in his mind. By the end, he had the sequence right, the frequency right, and even a follow-up call scheduled. He also agreed to install the Traya app so he could log consistency - because in hair recovery, consistency is often the real differentiator.

That’s the shift Traya aims for: moving from “I’m noticing hair fall every day” to “I know exactly what to do for the next 5–8 months.”

And for someone who’s been seeing shedding for over a year, that kind of structure can be the first real relief.
