Neeraj’s 5-Month Plan for Dandruff & Hair Fall

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Problem: 2–3 years of hair fall, with crown thinning and a receding hairline, plus visible dandruff.
  • Root causes addressed: dandruff and scalp health, plus digestion and nutrition (constipation, occasional gas/acidity).
  • Main products used: Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%), Scalp Oil + Growth Therapy booster, Minoxidil (topical), Hair Ras, Hair Vitamin, and Gutt Shuddhi.
  • Timeline: a 5-month plan - first 2 months focused on internal health + dandruff control, months 3–4 on hair fall control, month 5 onwards on visible thickness and density.
  • Outcome goal: reduce dandruff-related shedding, strengthen roots, and work towards improved density/volume at the crown while managing the hairline.

The moment Neeraj admitted, “Samajh nahi aaya kaise use karna hai”

Neeraj, a working professional from North India, didn’t call Traya to complain or demand miracles. He called because he was stuck.

“Agar vo istemal kis tarike se karna ho, samajh nahi,” he told his hair coach on the phone - an honest line that a lot of people feel but rarely say out loud.

Behind that confusion was a bigger story: hair fall for “do-teen saal,” dandruff that looked “bahut zyada,” and a growing worry that his crown area was thinning while his hairline seemed to be moving back.

When hair fall isn’t just hair fall

Neeraj’s conversation made one thing clear: this wasn’t a one-problem situation. Yes, he had hair fall. But he also had dandruff, constipation, and occasional gas/acidity. On top of that, his coach noted the pattern concerns he himself agreed with: crown visibility and a receding hairline.

This combination matters because dandruff can create itching and irritation, and that constant scalp stress often shows up as breakage and shedding. At the same time, when digestion is off - constipation, bloating, that “heavy” feeling - your body’s ability to properly absorb nutrients can take a hit. That digestion and hair fall connection is exactly why Traya looks beyond just the scalp.

And this is where Neeraj’s plan became more than a generic anti-hair fall routine. It became a personalized hair treatment plan built around what was actually going on in his day-to-day life.

Q: Does dandruff trigger hair fall?

Yes - dandruff can lead to itching, inflammation, and scalp discomfort. When you’re constantly scratching or the scalp barrier stays irritated, hair fall can worsen, even if the real goal is to first fix the scalp environment.

The turning point: a kit that finally felt “doable”

Neeraj didn’t need more information. He needed someone to simplify it.

So his coach broke it down in a way that sounded less like instructions and more like a daily rhythm:

For dandruff, Neeraj’s kit included Traya’s Anti-dandruff Shampoo with Ketoconazole 2% - a formula designed to reduce dandruff and help prevent further fungal growth, while soothing scalp inflammation. He was guided to use it three times a week on alternate days.

For nourishment, there were two oils: Traya Scalp Oil and a small Growth Therapy booster oil. He was told to mix them together in the larger bottle and apply it twice a week, at least 30 minutes before shampoo.

And for regrowth support, Minoxidil was added with a simple rule: apply 1 ml on a dry scalp on the visible areas where he wanted regrowth - once in the morning and once before sleeping. No vigorous rubbing. Just apply and leave it.

The coach also prepared him for the most emotionally tricky part: early shedding.

She used a metaphor that stuck - like dry leaves falling before fresh ones come in. If Neeraj noticed increased shedding initially, it could be part of the adjustment phase where weaker strands shed first.

What Neeraj was really worried about (but didn’t say directly)

He didn’t use dramatic words. But you can hear it in the short replies - “Ji,” “Okay,” “Thik hai, mam” - that mix of hope and hesitation.

Because when someone has done nothing for hair fall for 2–3 years (“kuchh treatment karvaya?” “nahin”), starting a full regimen can feel intimidating. The coach even acknowledged that the hardest part is the beginning - when it feels “difficult” only because it’s not yet a habit.

That’s why she didn’t just give products. She gave practicality: keep supplements on the dining table, keep the serum on the dressing table, carry the serum while traveling, and if you miss a day, restart immediately - don’t stop permanently.

The inside-out layer: nutrition and gut support

Neeraj’s plan wasn’t only topical.

To support nutrition, he was given Hair Vitamin - one capsule daily after breakfast. Traya Hair Vitamin is designed for people where nutritional gaps contribute to hair fall, and it includes vitamins and minerals along with natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract and botanical extracts like green tea and bhringraj.

Alongside it was Hair Ras - two tablets after breakfast and two after dinner. Hair Ras is positioned as daily natural hair nourishment, with ingredients like Amalaki, Bhringraj, Shatavari, and Ashwagandha. In Ayurvedic logic, it supports scalp and hair health by balancing pitta and improving blood flow to hair follicles while nourishing deeper tissues (Asthi Dhatu).

And because constipation was part of Neeraj’s profile, Gutt Shuddhi was added - one tablet after dinner at night. It’s designed to support gut motility and detoxification and help with mild constipation, which matters when the body is struggling to clear waste regularly.

The 5-month map that made it feel less scary

Neeraj’s coach gave him a timeline he could hold onto:

In the first two months, the focus would be internal health and dandruff control. Months three and four would target hair fall control and root strength. And by month five onwards, the expectation was to start seeing changes like thickness, density, and volume - especially in the crown area.

She also set realistic expectations for the hairline: it’s a tougher area for regrowth, but the goal would be to manage and maintain it using Minoxidil so it doesn’t recede further.

That honesty matters. It turns panic into patience.

Resolution: not a finish line, but a routine with support

Neeraj’s story doesn’t end with a dramatic “before-after” moment in this call - his journey is just starting. But the real shift happens here: confusion turns into clarity, and fear turns into a routine.

He ends the call with his doubts resolved, a follow-up scheduled within 10–15 days, and a plan that addresses dandruff and dry scalp hair loss along with digestion, nutrition, and consistent tracking through the Traya app.

For Neeraj, the first win wasn’t regrowth yet. It was finally knowing what to do - starting today, not “someday.”
