“I Just Knew Something Was Wrong With My Hair”
By the time her Traya kit arrived, Asha had already shifted into problem-solving mode. The delivery came yesterday, and by this morning she had taken her first tablets and done her first hair wash exactly as instructed.
But behind that quiet efficiency was a simple worry she hadn’t really said out loud: “Mera hair fall ho raha hai,” she admitted early in the call. No other health problems, no big diagnosis - just that sinking feeling every time she ran her fingers through her hair and saw more strands than before.
Her scalp was dry, her hair felt rough, and even one weekly hair wash was starting to feel like an event she dreaded because it showed her how much hair she was losing.
Understanding Her Hair and Health Story
When the coach called, she started with reassurance, not products. She checked for other health issues or medicines. Asha said clearly, “Nahin, koi health condition nahin hai.” That simplicity actually helped: it meant the coach could go deeper on nutrition and lifestyle instead of navigating multiple illnesses.
The coach explained what the assessment had already picked up: low iron, disturbed sleep and external damage were working together against her hair.
In the coach’s words, “Jo major reason hai jisake karan apaka hair fall ho raha hai to apaka low iron ki kami, sleeping and external factors jo hain unake karan apaka hair fall ho raha hai.” It clicked for Asha. Her hair wasn’t just “weak” in isolation; her roots were undernourished from the inside.
Root Cause: When Low Iron and Lifestyle Show Up On Your Scalp
The coach painted the picture gently but clearly. Because of low iron and internal deficiencies, her hair roots weren’t receiving enough oxygen and nutrients. Over time, those undernourished roots became irritated and fragile, so even normal combing or washing could trigger shedding. That’s a classic digestion and hair fall connection too: if your body can’t absorb and distribute nutrients optimally, your hair is usually the first to complain.
On top of that, Asha’s dry scalp and once-a-week washes meant product residue, dust and sweat could sit on her scalp longer than ideal. That build-up can suffocate follicles, worsen dryness and make every shed strand feel like proof that “something is seriously wrong.”
The coach didn’t reduce her journey to a single cause. Instead, she tied together low iron, internal stress, sleep, scalp dryness and external routines into one integrated story of why Asha’s hair had started falling the way it did.
Can low iron really cause so much hair fall?
Yes. Iron helps your red blood cells carry oxygen to every tissue, including hair follicles. When iron is low, the body prioritizes vital organs over hair. Over time, follicles enter a “survival mode,” shifting more hairs into the shedding phase and making regrowth slower and thinner. Correcting low iron and improving absorption is key for iron deficiency hair fall recovery.
The First Doubts: “Serum Kitni Baar Lagana Hai?”
Once the coach began explaining the routine, Asha listened carefully but her first real question revealed what she was most anxious about: the serum.
“Serum do bar lagana hai morning, evening ya night men ek hi bar?” she asked, wanting to make sure she didn’t overdo anything that might worsen her hair fall.
The coach clarified that the Hair Active serum was to be used once daily at night - exactly 1 ml with a dropper, spread gently across the entire scalp without aggressive massage.
Then came the part that usually scares people: initial shedding. The coach prepared her honestly. Because the serum contains strong hair growth actives (like Redensyl, Capixyl and Procapil in Traya’s Recap Serum, or Minoxidil-based actives in other kits), the weakest, already damaged hairs are pushed out faster so healthier hair can take their place.
“Starting ke kuchh weeks ke lie apako thoda sa hair fall notice hoga,” she explained, “but ghabraiyega mat. It’s normal.” Asha’s “Okay” here wasn’t just polite - it was a small exhale of relief that someone had anticipated the fear she hadn’t yet voiced: “Will this treatment make me lose even more hair?”
How the Coach Designed Her Daily Routine
The coach broke Asha’s plan into two simple pillars: internal nourishment and external care.
For internal support, she introduced:
Hair Vitamin
A daily tablet after breakfast to fill nutritional gaps. Traya Hair Vitamin is a non-sugary multivitamin with biotin, B vitamins, iron, zinc, selenium and natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract, green tea and bhringraj. For someone with low iron and no other major illness, it’s the ideal base to strengthen hair from within, especially when hair fall due to anemia or borderline deficiencies is suspected.
Hair Ras / Kamdudha-type tablet (“kamaras”)
Two tablets at night after dinner, designed to calm excess Pitta and improve internal balance. Kamdudha Ras, as described in the Traya Product Bible, cools the system, supports digestion and heart health and eases stress. For Asha, this meant less internal “heat,” better gut comfort and a calmer system overall - all of which make a healthier environment for hair.
Her Santulan - type hormonal and systemic support (“aryan santulan”)
Two tablets after breakfast and two after dinner. Her Santulan is crafted for women above 30–35, but variants are often used to nourish the nervous system, hormones, bones and reproductive health. It helps reduce hormonal-triggered hair fall, supports bone and cardiac health and acts as a gentle nerve tonic. For Asha, this was the “wellness within” part: supporting mood, stamina, and subtle hormonal shifts that often show up first in hair quality.
The coach insisted on one simple rule: “Koi bhi tablet khali pet mat lena.” Everything had to follow food so her digestion stayed comfortable and absorption remained optimal.
External Care: From Dry, Rough Hair to Nourished Strands
For her dry scalp and rough texture, the coach raised a key point: once-a-week washing wasn’t ideal. With a dry scalp, doctors recommend washing twice a week to clear sweat, dust and residue without stripping natural oils.
Asha’s new routine:
Nourish Oil
Applied twice a week, at least 30 minutes before shampoo. Traya’s Nourish Oil blends nine cold-pressed oils and fresh herbs like argan oil, castor oil, rosemary, amla, coconut and almond oil. It’s designed not for regrowth but for shine, moisture and reduced breakage. For Asha, whose hair already felt “rough,” this oil would soften strands, control frizz and make hair less prone to snapping in the shower or on the pillow.
Gentle shampoo plus Defence Conditioner
After oiling, she’d wash with a mild shampoo and then apply conditioner only on hair lengths - never the scalp - for 3–4 minutes. The Defence Conditioner, with biotin, niacinamide, Keraguard and hydrolyzed rice protein, is made to smooth rough hair, retain moisture and fight post-serum dryness without clogging follicles.
Hair Active serum
Used nightly, 1 ml across the scalp. The coach repeated that consistency was everything. Properly cleaned scalp and regular application is what allows powerful actives like Redensyl, Capixyl and Procapil (in Traya’s Recap Serum) or Minoxidil-based solutions to improve follicle health, reduce thinning and support new growth at the right pace.
Timeline: When Would She Actually See Change?
Asha’s next unspoken question was the one everyone has: “Ye sab kab tak karna padega?”
The coach laid it out month by month:
First 2 months:
Weaker hairs shed faster, scalp health improves and follicles get “ready” to respond. This is the slightly scary but necessary reset.
Month 3:
Noticeable reduction in hair fall and better scalp comfort. Brushing and washing start to feel less traumatic.
Month 4 onwards:
Visible improvement in volume and density. “Full-scale bigger pony and badi chhoti,” as the coach described - thicker braids, a ponytail that feels fuller in the hand.
The supplements course would last 3–6 months depending on progress. After that, the kit would be lighter and more focused on maintenance with serum and hair care. The goal wasn’t to keep Asha on heavy supplementation forever, but to restore balance and then maintain it.
Support Beyond Products
What steadied Asha most wasn’t just the tablets and oils; it was the sense of not being alone in the process. The coach asked her to log daily usage in the Traya app, not only to earn redeemable coins but to track her own consistency. The app’s diet feature would generate a nutrition report after seven days, helping her align food habits with her hair goals.
A follow-up call was scheduled for the 26th of December at 4:30 pm. “Regular rahiyega and patience rakhiye,” the coach reminded her, tying hope to discipline rather than magic.
By the end of the call, Asha’s answers had shifted from hesitant “Okay, okay” to a more confident “Ji, start kiya hai.” The routine felt clear, the science made sense, and for the first time in months, her hair fall felt like a solvable problem instead of a mysterious enemy.
