Amit’s 8-Month Plan to Tackle Hair Fall & Dandruff

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Problem: Around 1 year of ongoing hair fall, plus recurring dandruff (worse in winters).
  • Root causes discussed on call: Genetic tendency, nutrition and lifestyle factors, and the digestion and hair fall connection (gas/acidity/bloating 1–2 times a week; occasional constipation).
  • What he used: Scalp Oil mixed with Growth Therapy booster, Minoxidil, Hair Ras, and Gutt Shuddhi; plus Anti-dandruff Shampoo twice a week with Defence Shampoo for regular washes.
  • Timeline shared by the coach: Months 1–3 focus on internal health + dandruff, months 4–6 on hair fall control, months 7–8 for visible “new baby hair.”
  • Outcome to expect: Reduced dandruff/itching triggers, controlled shedding with consistency, and gradual thickening with new baby hair over 7–8 months.

The day he finally asked the real question

“Madam, benefit kitne dinon mein mil jaega?”

It wasn’t a dramatic speech. Just one practical question from Amit, a working professional from Rajasthan, who’d been watching his hair fall for about a year and hadn’t tried any treatment before. But underneath that simple line was the real feeling: he didn’t want another routine that lasted two weeks and then quietly disappeared into a drawer.

He had his Traya kit in hand (it had arrived on the 5th), and what he wanted was clarity - what to do, how to do it, and when he’d know it’s working.

When hair fall isn’t “just hair fall”

On the call, Amit shared that the hair fall started about a year ago. No minoxidil before, no previous treatments - just the slow accumulation of worry that builds when the problem doesn’t resolve on its own.

Then came the parts people often downplay because they feel “normal”: gas, acidity, and bloating. “Haan ji… week mein ek se do baar hota hai,” he said. Constipation wasn’t regular, but it did show up “kabhi kabhi,” about once or twice some weeks.

And then there was dandruff - the detail that changed the texture of the story. At first, his test information had suggested no dandruff, but he corrected it quickly: “Haan dandruff to hai… sardiyon mein dikkat rehta hai.” Seasonal dandruff sounds harmless until you remember what it does - itching, flakes, irritation, and that constant urge to scratch your scalp like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

That’s how dandruff and dry scalp hair loss can quietly become a cycle: scalp irritation makes hair fall feel worse, and hair fall makes every flake feel twice as visible.

The root cause Traya mapped for him

His coach explained that Amit’s root causes weren’t a single switch that turned hair fall on. It was a stack: genetic tendency, plus nutrition and lifestyle, plus digestion.

In simple terms, if digestion is off - bloating, acidity, that heavy “something’s not settled” feeling - your body may not be getting the full value of what you’re eating. And when nourishment doesn’t reach where it’s needed, hair follicles can be among the first places to show it. Add dandruff to the mix, and the scalp environment itself becomes less supportive for healthy growth.

That’s what made Amit’s plan feel like a personalized hair treatment plan rather than a one-product promise.

Q: Does dandruff really make hair fall worse?

Yes - because dandruff can lead to itching and scalp irritation, and constant scratching can aggravate shedding. Clearing dandruff helps maintain scalp health, which supports healthier hair growth over time.

The doubts he didn’t dramatize - but still needed answered

Amit’s doubts weren’t emotional monologues. They were the kind that matter more: usage confusion, timelines, and “what happens if something feels worse before it gets better?”

He asked for the starting instructions clearly: “Kaise lagana, use kaise… shuruaat mein.”

And when the conversation moved to minoxidil, the coach addressed the big fear upfront: initial shedding. She explained that for a few weeks hair fall can increase, and reassured him it’s normal - like a tree shedding old leaves to make space for new ones.

You could hear the relief in his short confirmations: “Yes… samajh mein aa gaya.”

The turning point: making it feel doable

What changed the tone of the call was how the routine was broken down into something that could fit inside real life.

The coach didn’t just say “be consistent.” She made consistency practical: keep the serum on the dressing table, supplements on the dining table. Two minutes in the morning, two at night. Travel-friendly. If you miss occasionally, restart - don’t abandon.

And then she gave him the timeline he’d asked for, without sugarcoating it:

  • Months 1–3: focus on internal health and dandruff
  • Months 4–6: focus on hair fall control
  • Months 7–8: “new baby hair” and visible thickness (especially if crown area is visible)

Amit simply said, “Thik hai,” but by then he had what he came for: a map.

What Amit’s kit included - and why each part mattered

Amit’s routine was built around both scalp care and internal support.

He started with Scalp Oil mixed with the Growth Therapy booster oil shot, used twice a week about 30 minutes before a hair wash. In Ayurvedic logic, regular scalp massage with medicated oil (shiroabhyanga) supports calm and improves circulation to hair follicles. Traya’s Scalp Oil is made with a sneh pak process - herbs and goat milk boiled into the oil - designed for follicular nourishment and scalp health. The Growth Therapy shot adds essential oils to support regrowth-focused care.

Because dandruff was a real concern for him, the coach recommended adding Traya’s Anti-dandruff Shampoo (ketoconazole 2%) twice a week to help reduce dandruff and prevent further fungal growth, while using Defence Shampoo on regular wash days for gentle cleansing.

For regrowth support, he was advised Minoxidil (1 ml morning and 1 ml night) on visible scalp areas and to spread it gently - “massage nahi karna” - and to expect initial shedding.

Internally, Hair Ras was positioned as daily nourishment, designed to balance pitta and support scalp and hair health from within, including improving blood flow to hair follicles and nourishing the asthi dhatu. For his occasional constipation and gut discomfort pattern, Gutt Shuddhi was added at night after dinner, supporting gut detox, motility, and relief from mild constipation.

Resolution: what “success” would look like for him

Amit didn’t call to share results yet - this was his start. But by the end, the most important shift had already happened: he wasn’t guessing anymore.

He had a routine he could follow, a timeline that matched reality, and support built in through follow-ups. Before hanging up, he agreed to a check-in call window - “gyarah baje se… sham ko aath baje tak” - because he understood that hair recovery isn’t just about buying a kit. It’s about staying with the plan long enough for the body and scalp to change.

And for someone who’d been dealing with hair fall for a year without trying anything, that commitment was the real first milestone.
