When Aarti Wanted Her Old Hairline Back: A Couple’s Journey With Traya’s Guided Treatment
The call didn’t come from the person whose name was on the Traya box.
It came from his wife.
“Traya ka kuch product aaya hai… to kaise use karana hai? Ismein to likha hai, but hum clear hona chahte hain, aap bata dijiye thoda sa.”
That line, spoken by Aarti (28, Indore) on behalf of her husband, captures the starting point of many Traya journeys: confusion, hope, and a strong desire to “get this right” from Day 1.
A Year of Hair Fall, A Receding Hairline, And Growing Worry
Aarti’s husband had been dealing with hair fall for more than a year.
“Ek saal se toh zyada ho raha hai… pehle koi hair ka product use kiya tha, jab tak use kiya tab tak thoda kam tha, uske baad wapas fir se shuru ho gaya,” she explained.
There were two main concerns:
- Existing hair fall that wouldn’t stop
- A receding hairline in the front and sides
“Balon mein jo baal jhad gaye hain unka growth chahiye, aur jo jhad rahe hain unko rokna hai,” she said very clearly.
This wasn’t casual seasonal shedding anymore. Photos uploaded in the Traya app showed that the hairline had already started receding, and density in the frontal region was visibly reduced. Along with this, he had “thoda thoda dandruff” that came back a day or two after hair wash.
So the visible problems were:
- Chronic hair fall (more than 1 year)
- Receding hairline (early male pattern baldness)
- Mild, recurring dandruff
What Was Really Going On? The Root Cause, Explained
From the consultation, a few important things became clear:
- No major medical history: “Headache, migraine, low BP, heart related, diabetes, fatty liver, IBS, IBD… kuch bhi nahi.”
- Gut health mostly okay: occasional gas “mahine mein ek do baar,” but not chronic digestion issues.
- No long-term medications or supplements.
- Currently only using normal household shampoo and oil.
So what was driving this hair loss?
- Male pattern hair loss (androgenic alopecia)
- Chronicity and follicle weakening
- Scalp environment – mild dandruff and oil use
While his gut and general health seemed largely fine, the primary driver was clearly pattern hair loss, subtly worsened by dandruff and inconsistent past care. This is exactly the kind of case where a personalized hair treatment plan combining dermatology, Ayurveda, and nutrition can protect existing hair and encourage regrowth.
Q&A: Does dandruff really cause hair loss?
Mild dandruff alone doesn’t directly “kill” hair, but when flakes mix with oil, sweat, and product residue, they can irritate the scalp. Constant scratching, inflammation around follicles, and an imbalanced scalp microbiome can all contribute to increased shedding. Managing dandruff early helps protect follicles and prevent dandruff and dry scalp hair loss from becoming a bigger trigger.
Doubts, Fears, and the Need for Clarity
Throughout the call, Aarti wasn’t just asking “how to use” the kit. She was trying to protect her husband from disappointment and side effects.
Her key concerns came through in different ways:
- Confusion about the shampoo:
- Result expectations & timeline:
- Apprehension about Minoxidil shedding:
- Practical usage doubts:
Addressing these doubts was essential for one major reason: adherence. Long-term treatments like minoxidil and Ayurvedic supplements only work if used correctly and consistently for months. Clear guidance gives the family confidence to stay on track.
How Hair Loss Was Affecting Their Life
Unlike some calls where customers explicitly say “I’ve lost confidence,” here the emotion showed up between the lines:
- A young 28-year-old man already showing a receding hairline
- A spouse calling, carefully taking notes, trying to not miss any step
- Repeated confirmation about “baal jhadna rokna hai aur growth chahiye”
The unspoken worry: “If this continues, what will he look like in a few years? Will we lose more time and more hair?”
The coach also gently framed hair fall as a chronic condition: “Hair fall kaise chronic condition hota hai, jad se khatam nahi hota.” This helped reset expectations — not miracle overnight regrowth, but a realistic, stepwise recovery that could restore control over his hair situation.
The Hair Coach’s Plan: Stepwise, Monitored, And Personal
The coach laid out a clear, structured approach:
1. Treatment Timeline
She explained a realistic 5–8 month window:
- Months 1–3: Focus on internal health and scalp health
- Months 4–6: Hair fall control and improvement in hair quality
- Months 7–8: Visible results in density and thickness, especially in non-hairline areas
And she was honest about limitations:
- Hairline regrowth is difficult; they do not overpromise.
- “Hairline ko maintain manage karenge… pichhe nahi jaane denge.”
- In about 30% of cases, if baby hair is visible, some regrowth is possible, but the guarantee is maintenance and slowing progression.
2. Topical Dermatology: Minoxidil + Finasteride Topical Solution
The kit included Minoxidil + Finasteride + Procapil topical serum:
- 1 ml in the morning, 1 ml at night, with the dropper, only on affected areas (receding hairline, thinning patches).
- Apply on completely dry hair, after bath or hair wash.
- No vigorous rubbing, just gentle spreading.
- Use every day, long-term.
This targets:
- Increased blood flow to follicles (minoxidil)
- Blocking DHT at the follicle level (finasteride, Procapil)
- Reversing miniaturization and stimulating regrowth where follicles are still alive
She also prepared them for initial shedding, so they wouldn’t panic and quit.
3. Ayurvedic Scalp Care: Scalp Oil + Calm Oil Shot
They received Scalp Oil plus Calm Therapy oil shot:
- The small Calm Oil bottle to be fully mixed into the larger Scalp Oil bottle.
- Apply scalp oil only twice a week, 30 minutes before hair wash.
- Gentle massage for 1–2 minutes, then wash with Defence Shampoo.
This combination:
- Nourishes follicles with herbs like amla, bhringraj, brahmi, and goat milk (from Scalp Oil).
- Uses essential oils (Castor oil, Ylang-ylang, ORPL) from Calm Therapy to:
4. Cleansing & Maintenance: Defence Shampoo
Because his test said “no dandruff,” the coach confirmed he had Defence Shampoo, not anti-dandruff shampoo:
- Use 2–3 times a week, especially on oiling days.
- Mild, sulphate- and paraben-free cleansing to avoid unnecessary breakage and scalp irritation.
If dandruff worsens later, the plan includes switching to an anti-dandruff shampoo from Traya’s range, but only as needed.
5. Ayurvedic Internal Support: Hair Ras + Health Tatva
Two powerful internal Ayurvedic formulations were prescribed:
- Hair Ras
- Health Tatva
Together, these address internal imbalances that don’t show up as “disease” but quietly weaken hair over time.
6. Continuous Monitoring & App Support
The coach didn’t end at product instructions:
- She explained the Traya app’s “how to use kit” section for quick reference.
- Highlighted the customized diet plan and weekly reports for lifestyle improvement.
- Encouraged them to use Log & Earn to track daily usage and earn coins for discounts — turning adherence into a rewarding habit.
- Set up a follow-up call in 10–15 days to check progress and resolve doubts.
- Suggested joining the Traya community where other customers share real journeys and coaches are available for chat.
This isn’t a “buy product and forget” model. It’s a guided programme that adapts as the scalp and hair respond.
Product Snapshot From the Kit (And Why Each One Matters)
Based on the call and product bible, here’s how his core products line up with his condition:
- Minoxidil 5% + Finasteride + Procapil topical solution
- Scalp Oil + Calm Therapy shot
- Defence Shampoo
- Hair Ras
- Health Tatva
If his dandruff becomes more prominent, adding Anti-dandruff Shampoo or Dandruff Therapy booster oil from the bible would be the logical next layer.
