Rohit’s Hair Fall Wake-Up Call in a New City

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • The problem: Rohit noticed his hair thinning since 2021, and in the last 2–3 months, the middle of his scalp started looking visibly sparse - especially when his hair got even slightly wet.
  • What seemed to trigger it: Multiple city shifts (Nagpur to Delhi to Bangalore to Hyderabad) plus intense career stress around the end of 2021.
  • What he started with: A personalized hair treatment plan combining daily minoxidil, weekly oiling with Scalp Oil + Growth Therapy booster, Defence Shampoo, and internal Ayurvedic support with Hair Ras and Health Tatva.
  • Timeline he was coached on: First 3 months focused on internal health and nutrition; months 2–6 for hair fall control and scalp health; visible changes like better density and crown regrowth expected around months 7–8.
  • The transformation he wanted: Not a “perfect” hairline overnight - just “bich ke baal nahi jaane chahiye” and no further balding, ideally getting back to how his hair looked 1–2 years ago.

He didn’t notice it in the mirror first.

Rohit, who grew up in Nagpur and has moved cities for work more than once, noticed it when his hair got a little wet. “Even if I oil, or my hair gets slightly damp, it’s clearly visible in the middle,” he said. The back and sides still looked fine - but the center was starting to give away what styling used to hide.

That moment is oddly specific, but it’s also deeply relatable. Because hair loss doesn’t always arrive dramatically. Sometimes it arrives as a quiet change you can’t unsee.

When “crazy hair” starts slipping away

Rohit’s hair fall began around 2021. Before that, in college, he had what he described as “crazy hair” - the kind that naturally looks full and lets you play with styles without thinking twice.

Then came adulthood: new cities, new water, new weather, new pressure. He moved for his first job to Delhi, then to Bangalore, and later to Hyderabad. And around the end of 2021 - when career stress was high - his hair started thinning.

At first it felt manageable. Hair length reduced, but he could cover it. Recently, though, the pattern changed. Over the last 2–3 months, the hair loss started showing right in the middle, making the thinning impossible to ignore.

Why his hair fall wasn’t “just hair fall”

In Rohit’s story, the context matters as much as the symptom.

Three major shifts happened together: environment changes across cities, lifestyle disruption, and career-related stress. Even his coach acknowledged that changes in weather and water can aggravate hair fall.

And then there was the deeper pattern Rohit described: thinning in the center, while the back and sides were fine. That “pattern” matters because it changes expectations and the kind of consistency required. The coach was transparent about it too - regrowth at the hairline can be tougher than the crown, but maintaining the hairline and preventing further worsening is a realistic, meaningful goal, and crown regrowth is often more achievable.

Q: Can stress and lifestyle changes actually trigger hair fall?

Yes. When stress and routine disruption become prolonged, they can disturb sleep, appetite, and overall internal balance - conditions that can weaken hair from the root and make shedding feel suddenly “visible,” not just occasional.

The doubts he didn’t want to ignore

Rohit wasn’t new to trying things. About a year ago, he used minoxidil consistently for 4–5 months and paired it with a derma roller. After moving to Hyderabad, he stopped.

So when he started Traya, his questions weren’t casual - they came from experience.

His biggest worry was about the tablets: “Minoxidil to sabko pata hai hair regrowth ke liye hai… but the only concern is, tablets se aisa kuch hona nahi chahiye.” He wanted to be sure that internal supplements wouldn’t cause an unwanted reaction.

He also had a practical, day-to-day question that many working professionals have: he applies minoxidil in the morning, goes to office, then to the gym, and bathes only in the evening. So where does oiling fit in? Can you oil after applying minoxidil?

This is where the coaching mattered: oiling first, then shampoo, and only after the scalp is dry - minoxidil. Simple, but crucial.

The lifestyle impact: “It’s all about style”

Rohit said something that quietly revealed the emotional weight: “It’s all about style.” For him, hair wasn’t vanity - it was control. A way to present himself, to feel put together in a new city, a new job, a new phase of life.

He wasn’t chasing perfection. He was chasing stability. He didn’t even insist on getting the hairline back fully. He just didn’t want the middle to thin further, and he wanted to go back to how his hair looked one or two years ago - then keep it maintained, even after treatment.

The turning point: a plan that felt doable

What changed for Rohit wasn’t just products - it was structure.

His coach laid out a clear journey: a 5–8 month timeline, with realistic milestones. The first three months focused on internal health and nutrition support. From months two to six, the target was hair fall control and scalp improvement. And by months seven to eight, visible changes like better thickness, density, volume, and crown-area regrowth were discussed as the stage where results start feeling real.

He was also told something many people need to hear upfront: minoxidil can initially increase hair fall for a few weeks, and that can be normal. Knowing that in advance makes it less scary when it happens.

The Traya routine he was guided to follow

Rohit’s routine was built around what he could realistically stick to.

He was guided to mix the Growth Therapy booster oil into the Scalp Oil bottle and use it twice a week, leaving it on for at least 30 minutes before washing. Scalp Oil is positioned to support scalp health and stimulate hair follicles through regular oil massage (shiroabhyanga), helping improve blood circulation and follicular nourishment. Growth Therapy works as a booster oil aimed at supporting regrowth and scalp health.

For cleansing, he was advised to use Defence Shampoo 2–3 times a week. Since it’s sulphate- and paraben-free, it focuses on thorough but mild cleansing to help maintain scalp health without harsh stripping - useful when someone is already anxious about shedding and breakage.

And for active regrowth support, he was instructed to use minoxidil daily: 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, applied on the visible scalp and gently spread with fingertips (no aggressive massage).

Internally, he mentioned he had Hair Ras and Health Tatva. Hair Ras is described as daily natural hair nourishment that helps balance pitta and support scalp and hair health with adaptogenic herbs, while supporting nourishment of tissues like asthi dhatu. Health Tatva targets digestion, nutrient absorption, and metabolism support - because when absorption is poor, follicles don’t consistently get what they need.

This is also where the digestion and hair fall connection becomes very real for many people: you can eat “fine,” but if your system isn’t absorbing well, hair often shows it first.

Resolution: a calmer, clearer way forward

By the end of the call, Rohit sounded lighter. Not because everything was solved overnight - but because now he had a system.

He had clarity on order of application (oil before shampoo, minoxidil on a dry scalp), clarity on what early shedding could mean, and clarity on what “success” could look like for him: stopping further thinning in the center, improving crown density over time, and maintaining what he regains with consistent use.

And maybe most importantly, he no longer had to guess. He could track, follow, and course-correct with check-ins every 10–12 days - so this didn’t become another abandoned attempt.
