Rohit’s Hair Fall Reset: From Confusion to a Plan

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Problem: 3 years of on-and-off hair fall, plus mild dandruff with itching and flaking.
  • Root causes discussed on the call: genetics, nutrition gaps, and dandruff worsening shedding.
  • What he used: Minoxidil (1 ml morning + 1 ml night), Anti-dandruff Shampoo (3x/week), Scalp Oil + Growth Therapy booster (2x/week pre-wash), and Hair Ras + Hair Vitamin.
  • Timeline set on call: months 1–3 internal support + dandruff control; months 4–6 hair fall reduces; months 7–9 scalp health improves; around month 12 regrowth becomes visible.
  • Outcome focus: consistent routine, reduced dandruff-triggered shedding, and a plan to “not let the hairline get worse” while working toward regrowth.

The day he finally said, “Bas bata dijiye - main aaj shuru kar du?”

Rohit, a school teacher, wasn’t calling to complain. He was calling because he was ready.

His Traya kit had just arrived, and he sounded like someone who’d been waiting for a green signal: “Just tell me - should I start today or from tomorrow? I’m sitting here waiting.”

But there was a catch. The app didn’t make sense to him, the routine felt confusing, and somewhere in the back of his mind sat a very real memory: the time a salon “hair spa” went wrong and his hair fell “like water” during a bath.

He wanted his hair back, yes. But more than that, he wanted clarity. A plan he could actually follow.

When the hair fall started to feel personal

Rohit traced his hair fall back to about three years ago. He explained how he got a hair spa for cheap, liked the result, repeated it after 15 days - and then came the shock: “When I bathed, my hair was falling like water.”

A salon expert told him it might be the wrong chemical. Rohit took a drastic step after that, shaving his head multiple times over two months. In his words, once the “chemical” was gone, his hair felt strong again.

But the hair fall never fully left his life. It hovered in the background - sometimes better when he ate amla, sometimes worse. He also dealt with mild dandruff that was dry, itchy, and flaky.

By the time he spoke to the Traya hair coach, he wasn’t looking for another DIY oil recipe from the internet. He had already tried that. He wanted a personalized hair treatment plan that wouldn’t overwhelm him.

What the coach noticed: dandruff, nutrition, and a pattern

On the call, Rohit confirmed his dandruff wasn’t heavy, but it was dry and itchy - “It itches and dandruff falls lightly.” The coach connected a few dots from Rohit’s assessment: genetics, nutrition, and dandruff.

This is where the story becomes bigger than just hair strands on a bathroom floor.

Dandruff often doesn’t feel “serious” until the itching starts. And once scratching becomes a habit, the scalp gets stressed out, flakes increase, and hair fall can feel worse than it actually is. That’s why dandruff and dry scalp hair loss is a pattern coaches keep an eye on - because scalp discomfort can quietly push shedding higher.

Nutrition was the other piece Rohit kept coming back to, especially through the app’s dietitian feature. He asked, how will the app even know what’s wrong? The coach explained that by logging meals for 7 days, the app generates a report that highlights nutrition gaps - so you can correct what’s missing instead of guessing.

Q: Does dandruff actually cause hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching and frequent scratching, it can aggravate the scalp and increase hair shedding. Controlling dandruff helps create a healthier scalp environment for hair to grow.

The doubts he voiced out loud (and the ones he didn’t)

Rohit’s most repeated line was simple: “How do I take this? When do I take this? I don’t understand the app.”

He also needed reassurance about treatment realities. When the coach explained Minoxidil, he didn’t sugarcoat the early phase: initial shedding can happen. Rohit listened, and you could almost hear him calculating whether he could handle seeing more hair fall before seeing less.

The coach framed it in a way that felt human: weak strands shed first, and over time stronger hair can come in - like a tree dropping old leaves to make space for new ones.

And then came a vulnerable, personal question about masturbation and whether it could worsen hair fall. The coach didn’t overreach beyond his scope, encouraged moderation, and offered a doctor connect - keeping the tone respectful and non-alarming.

The turning point: a routine that finally felt doable

Once Rohit had the kit in front of him, the coach turned confusion into a simple rhythm - what to do daily, what to do weekly, and what to expect over time.

He also gave Rohit a long view. The timeline shared on call was clear: the first 3 months focus on internal support and dandruff reduction, months 4–6 focus on hair fall reduction, months 7–9 on scalp health improvement, and from month 12 onward visible regrowth.

Just as importantly, the coach set expectations about hairline: regrowth there can be harder, but the goal is to manage it and prevent it from getting worse - and in some cases, regrowth is seen.

For Rohit, that sounded like hope with honesty. Not hype.

What Rohit was prescribed - and why it matched his concerns

Rohit’s kit revolved around solving the same three things discussed on the call: scalp condition, nourishment, and consistent regrowth support.

He was guided to use:

He was told to use Minoxidil daily, 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, applied only on the visible scalp (not the hair length). This was positioned as his regrowth-focused step, with a reminder that hair should be dry before applying.

For dandruff, he was instructed to use the Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%) three times a week. In Traya’s logic, this doesn’t “grow hair” directly, but it helps clear dandruff so scratching and scalp inflammation don’t keep triggering shedding.

For scalp nourishment, he was asked to use Scalp Oil twice a week, mixed with the Growth Therapy booster oil, at least 30 minutes before hair wash. The coach explained the order clearly: on oil days, oil first, wash after 30 minutes, dry hair, then apply morning Minoxidil. (Also, Traya’s guideline is not to apply Scalp Oil at the same time as Minoxidil - let Minoxidil absorb/dry first.)

Internally, he was advised Hair Ras - 2 tablets in the morning and 2 at night. Hair Ras is designed for daily natural hair nourishment and works in Traya’s Ayurvedic approach by balancing pitta dosha, improving blood circulation to hair follicles, and supporting nourishment of the asthi dhatu.

He was also guided to take Hair Vitamin once in the morning after food, since nutrition gaps were part of his profile. This is where the coach anchored the “nutrition root cause” Rohit kept bringing up - and why the dietitian feature mattered. For many people, the digestion and hair fall connection shows up quietly: not because they don’t eat, but because what the body absorbs and uses may not match what hair follicles need consistently.

The resolution: from “confused” to committed

By the end of the call, Rohit sounded lighter. Not because his hair had magically grown back in 20 minutes - but because he finally knew what to do when he woke up the next day.

He agreed to a follow-up in 10–12 days. He also sounded determined: “No, no - I will continue. I really want hair to come back.”

That’s the real shift this story captures: when hair fall stops being a lonely experiment with home remedies, and becomes a guided routine with timelines, expectations, and someone checking in.
