Rohan’s 8-Month Plan to Control Hair Fall

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • What he was dealing with: 2–3 years of hair fall, with thinning “side se… upar se” and also “bich mein” (center).
  • What else showed up: Mild dandruff, sleep disturbance/stress, and occasional gas/acidity triggered by certain foods.
  • What his plan included: Minoxidil (1 ml morning + 1 ml night), Anti-dandruff Shampoo, Scalp Oil mixed with Scalp Health Oil Shot twice a week, Nasal Ghrit for 21 days, plus Hair Ras, Hair Vitamins, and Health Tatva.
  • What timeline he was guided for: An 8-month, step-by-step journey - early focus on scalp/internal health, then control, then visible regrowth.
  • Outcome he was working towards: Hair fall control and regrowth where possible (especially the center), with realistic expectations around hairline regrowth.

The day he finally asked the question

Rohan (name changed), a working professional from North India, didn’t start his Traya journey with a dramatic confession. He started with a practical doubt - one that reveals how long he’d been managing hair fall on his own.

“Serum lagane ke baad tel lagana hai ki nahin?”

It sounds like a small question, but behind it was a bigger story: for 2–3 years, his hair had been thinning, and he’d never taken a structured treatment before. Just the usual - normal oil, normal shampoo, and the quiet hope that it would settle down on its own.

It didn’t.

By the time he joined Traya, he could describe the pattern clearly: “Thoda hair fall ruk jao jo side se gaya, upar se gaya,” and then he added, “Bich mein bhi.” The sides were receding, the top was thinning, and the center was beginning to show it too.

When “normal hair fall” stops feeling normal

Rohan wasn’t panicking on the call, but you could hear what mattered to him: control first, then regrowth. His expectation from Traya was simple - hair fall should reduce, and he wanted to see hair come back where it had thinned.

The coach also grounded him in reality gently: some daily shedding during oiling, shampooing, or combing is normal. What Traya would aim for is reducing the excessive loss and improving scalp and follicle health over time.

And then came the part Rohan needed most: a timeline he could hold on to.

He was told to think in phases across eight months - early months to work on dandruff and internal health, months 4–6 for better control and scalp improvement, and months 7–8 for visible changes and regrowth.

The root causes hiding in plain sight

Rohan’s story wasn’t “just hair fall.” There were layers.

He had mild dandruff - something he first denied (“nahin nahin dandruff…”) and then agreed to (“ji ji”). This matters because dandruff can disrupt scalp comfort and trigger itching and inflammation, which can worsen shedding for many people - what a lot of people experience as dandruff and dry scalp hair loss.

He also had sleep issues and stress. He didn’t describe it dramatically, but he admitted his sleep was “kharab… dikkat hai.” In Ayurveda, disturbed rest and daily stress can affect overall balance and nourishment, showing up in hair quality and fall over time.

And there was digestion in the background too: occasional gas and acidity, “kuchh khane se ho jata hai.” While he didn’t opt for additional gut medicines at that moment, this is a real-world example of the digestion and hair fall connection - when digestion feels off, many people start noticing changes in energy, recovery, and overall hair health.

Q: Does dandruff really cause hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching, inflammation, and scalp irritation, it can increase hair fall. Treating the scalp environment is often a key early step so follicles can function better.

The moment he worried he’d do it wrong

Rohan asked the kinds of questions people ask when they’re trying - carefully - to not mess up a treatment.

He asked again about oil after minoxidil: if he applied minoxidil in the morning after bathing, could he put oil too?

The coach’s guidance was clear: the Traya oil routine was only twice a week. If Rohan had a daily habit of oiling because his hair felt dry (“sukha sukha”), he could apply oil on the hair length - but not on the roots daily. The focus was to avoid interfering with the scalp regimen.

This was also when the coach prepared him for something that scares most first-time users: early shedding.

He explained that with minoxidil, in the first few weeks, hair fall can appear to increase - but it can be part of the process as weaker hairs shed to make way for healthier growth. Rohan simply replied, “Theek hai.” Sometimes acceptance sounds exactly like that.

A plan that felt less like “products” and more like a routine

Rohan’s kit wasn’t positioned as random items. It was explained as a routine he could actually follow - even while he was on duty and didn’t have the products in front of him.

Here’s what his personalized hair treatment plan looked like, based entirely on the call:

He was asked to apply Minoxidil 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, spreading gently without rubbing. As per Traya’s product guidance, minoxidil works on thinning by improving nutrient-rich blood flow to hair follicles through its vasodilation effect, supporting regrowth with long-term use.

For dandruff, he was given Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%) to use two to three times a week. This helps reduce dandruff and prevent fungal overgrowth, supporting scalp health - important when hair fall is accompanied by flaking and irritation.

For scalp nourishment, he received Scalp Oil, with Scalp Health Oil Shot mixed into it, used twice a week and washed off after about half an hour. As described in Traya’s Ayurvedic approach, regular oil massage (shiroabhyanga) supports calm and improves blood circulation to hair follicles, while the medicated oil process helps follicular nourishment.

Because Rohan had sleep/stress concerns, he was guided to use Nasal Ghrit for 21 days - three drops in each nostril at night. In Ayurveda, the nasal passage is considered a route for nourishment to the head region, and this product is positioned to support sleep quality and calm.

Internally, he was advised Hair Ras, Hair Vitamins, and Health Tatva. Health Tatva is designed to support digestion and nutrient absorption, which matters when the body needs to deliver nourishment efficiently to hair follicles.

Resolution: the shift from guessing to tracking

Rohan was only 3–4 days into the routine when this call happened. So his “after” isn’t a photo reveal yet - it’s something more honest.

It’s the shift from doing nothing specific for years to finally having a method: a timeline, a scalp plan, internal support, and follow-ups. He agreed to share new scalp images (especially the front hairline) and even booked a tracking call for mid-December.

Before ending, the coach also set expectations: regrowth in the center is more likely, while hairline regrowth can be tougher - though some people do see it. For Rohan, that was enough: “Nahin, koi dikkat nahin.”

Sometimes the real win at the start is not instant regrowth - it’s consistency, clarity, and the feeling that you’re not doing it alone.
