Ravi’s 10-Year Hair Fall Journey With Traya

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Main concern: Ravi, a 31-year-old from Indore, had hair fall for “10–11 years,” along with heavy dandruff that would get stuck under his nails when he scratched.
  • What seemed to be driving it: Chronic scalp flaking and irritation, plus early thinning patterns - especially a receded front hairline with better chances around the crown where baby hairs were still visible.
  • What he used: Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2%), Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%), Scalp Oil mixed with Dandruff Therapy booster shot, and Hair Ras tablets.
  • Expected timeline: 8–12 months overall, with first 3 months focusing on dandruff/scalp health, then hair fall control and quality, and baby-hair visibility later.
  • Outcome: Ravi didn’t get a “guarantee” for the fully receded front hairline, but he got a clear, realistic plan to control dandruff, reduce hair fall, and maintain/strengthen what’s still active.

“Nails mein bhar jaata hai” - the dandruff that finally felt too much

Ravi wasn’t calling because he’d just noticed a few strands on his pillow. He’d been living with hair fall for “das ya gyarah saal” - 10 to 11 years. The bigger breaking point was his scalp.

He described it simply but vividly: the dandruff was so heavy that when he scratched, it would collect under his nails. It wasn’t just flakes; it was the kind of itching-and-shedding cycle that follows you through the day. And like many people who’ve tried quick fixes, he mentioned he’d used “adivasi oil” in the past, but he wasn’t using anything regularly anymore.

This time, he didn’t ask for a miracle. He asked for clarity: how to apply it, how to eat it, how to follow it - basically, how to finally do it right.

When hair fall is chronic, scalp problems don’t stay “just cosmetic”

As the call went on, the hair coach looked at the photos Ravi had uploaded and asked for clearer ones. That photo review changed the tone of the conversation.

In Ravi’s case, the coach noted two important things: baby hairs were visible around the crown area, but his front hairline had receded a lot. She told him something most people don’t hear early enough: growth in a fully receded hairline is difficult, and Traya won’t give a false assurance where baby hairs aren’t visible. What they can do - consistently - is help maintain and manage, and work where the follicles still seem active.

That realism matters because dandruff and hair fall can behave like chronic conditions. When there’s persistent dandruff, the scalp is constantly irritated. Itching leads to scratching, scratching disrupts scalp comfort further, and over time, it can start to feel like dandruff and dry scalp hair loss are happening together - because, in day-to-day life, they often do.

Q: Does dandruff trigger hair loss?

Yes - when dandruff causes itching, inflammation, and repeated scratching, it can worsen hair fall. Clearing dandruff first helps create a healthier scalp environment so hair-focused treatments can work better.

The doubts he said out loud (and the one he didn’t)

Ravi’s questions were practical and honest. He wanted to know exactly what to do, down to, “Ismein lagana kis cheez se hai?” - how do I apply it? By hand? How often?

Then came a more emotional doubt, disguised as a money question. He asked, in his own words, whether if it doesn’t “success” then will the money come back - basically, “If this doesn’t work, will I get a refund?”

He wasn’t being difficult. He sounded like someone who has been disappointed before and didn’t want to be naive again. The coach explained that if he uses it regularly and still doesn’t see results in the assured areas, there’s a refund process.

Under that question was a deeper worry: “Barah mahine khaali padenge?” Will I just keep waiting? The answer wasn’t a sales pitch. It was a timeline that made the waiting feel structured.

The turning point: a plan that didn’t feel overwhelming

The coach mapped Ravi’s journey in a way that felt doable. Not a hundred instructions - just a routine.

She explained an 8–12 month timeline: the first three months focus on heavy dandruff, internal health, and scalp health; months four to six are about hair fall control; months seven to nine focus on hair quality; and from month ten onwards, baby hairs may start becoming more visible. What Ravi heard in that wasn’t “wait a year.” He heard, “We’ll track this phase by phase.”

And that’s the heart of a personalized hair treatment plan: not just giving products, but giving sequence, expectations, and follow-ups.

What Ravi’s kit included - and how it fit into his week

Ravi’s routine had four core parts, and each had a clear reason.

The coach started with Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2%). It’s meant for heavy dandruff and is used three nights a week, applied gently across the scalp, left overnight, and washed the next day. This product doesn’t promise hair growth directly; it’s to reduce stubborn dandruff and soothe the scalp.

Then came the Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%), used two to three times a week like a normal shampoo, especially to wash off the night lotion and keep the scalp clean and controlled.

Next was the Scalp Oil, along with the Dandruff Therapy booster oil (the small bottle). He was told to mix the entire booster shot into the larger scalp oil bottle, then use it twice a week at least 30 minutes before hair wash. This oil routine is rooted in the idea of scalp nourishment and circulation support through regular massage-like application (without aggressive rubbing), and the dandruff booster is aimed at heavy flaking and itching support.

Finally, he had Hair Ras - two tablets after breakfast and two after dinner daily. In Traya’s Ayurvedic logic, Hair Ras supports daily natural hair nourishment by balancing pitta dosha, supporting blood circulation to hair follicles, and helping tissue nourishment (Asthi Dhatu). It’s also positioned as “equivalent to Chavanprash for the hair,” meant for longer-term consistency.

The coach also told him something important about sequencing: once dandruff comes under control, the team can add a regrowth serum like minoxidil later, because scalp readiness matters.

Ravi also mentioned gas occasionally (once in a month or two). The coach flagged that if it becomes frequent, Traya can consider Digest Boost later - supporting the digestion and hair fall connection by improving digestive comfort, gas, and bloating support.

Resolution: realistic hope, not false promises

Ravi didn’t end the call with dramatic before-after results - because this wasn’t that kind of moment. What changed was simpler and, for chronic hair fall sufferers, more valuable: he finally had a clear routine, a timeline, and someone to check in every 10–15 days.

He also got honesty about where regrowth is likely and where it may not be - especially the front hairline. That truth can sting, but it also protects you from chasing shortcuts for another decade.

For Ravi, the real “start” wasn’t the first application of lotion or the first oil day. It was hearing, “We’ll control the dandruff first, then work on hair fall and quality - step by step.” And for someone who has watched hair fall for 10–11 years, that kind of structure can feel like relief.
