“Middle Pe Jyada Dikh Raha Hai, Madam” - Where His Journey Began
Rahul, a 33-year-old working professional from Nagpur, didn’t really panic the first time he saw a few strands on his pillow. It was when his friends pointed out that “middle se thoda halkasa lag raha hai” and he noticed his corners receding in photos that he finally paid attention.
On the call with his Traya hair coach, he was polite but clearly worried. He described how his hairline around the temples had started going back, and the centre was looking thinner than before. “Recent ka… two, three months se ho raha hai, madam,” he said, trying to pin down when things had changed.
He’d also picked up on something new: dandruff. “Dandruff abhi recent hi aaya,” he admitted, adding that there was mild flaking. At the same time, he had been using a hair conditioner regularly and had just begun a gym supplement for general health.
He wanted to know one thing: was this fixable, and how strict would he need to be?
Understanding What Was Really Causing His Hair Fall
The coach didn’t jump straight to solutions. She first checked his health basics. Any low blood pressure? Migraines? Sinus or asthma? Allergies? Rahul’s answer was almost always the same: “Mam, fully health… koi problem nahi.” He ate home food, fruit, and had recently started a normal gym supplement.
That cleared one big doubt: there was no major illness behind the hair fall. This wasn’t a classic case of hair fall due to anemia or a serious medical condition. Instead, the coach gently connected the dots for him.
First, she explained genetics. In men, when a receding hairline starts around the corners and the middle of the scalp looks thinner while the back is still strong, it usually points to male pattern hair loss. DHT, a hormone derived from testosterone, slowly shrinks the follicles at the front and crown. The coach even explained that in these areas regrowth is naturally more difficult than at the back, and only about a third of people see full hairline regrowth. She wanted his expectations to be hopeful but realistic.
Second, she addressed his scalp. Rahul mentioned that he had “recent dandruff” and was using conditioner regularly. The coach gently clarified that conditioners are for the hair lengths, not the scalp. When conditioner and dandruff mix on the scalp, they can trap oil, sweat, and dead skin, creating the perfect environment for irritation and weakening the roots. It was a simple habit, but it was making his existing pattern hair loss worse.
Third, she asked about his routine and consistency. Rahul reassured her he could follow a daily routine: “Daily lagana… problem nahi hoga.” That was the turning point. Once she knew he could be regular, she could plan long-term regrowth instead of short-term quick fixes.
Can dandruff really worsen hair fall?
Yes. When dandruff causes itching and inflammation, you tend to scratch more. This constant irritation loosens already weak hair shafts and increases shedding. On top of that, flakes and product build-up choke the follicles, which can trigger dandruff and dry scalp hair loss to worsen existing pattern baldness.
What He Needed to Hear Before Saying Yes
Rahul’s doubts weren’t dramatic, but they were important. He wanted to know two things very clearly: how long it would take and whether he could genuinely follow the routine without burning out.
The coach laid it out honestly. In the first one to two months, the focus would be on controlling hair fall and stabilising his scalp. Somewhere between the third and fourth month, he might notice less shedding and a subtle improvement in hair density. The real visible regrowth, she said, usually shows up around the fifth month for his kind of case, provided he stays consistent.
She also prepared him for something most people are scared of: initial shedding with minoxidil. She explained that when minoxidil wakes up the follicles, it pushes out the weaker old hairs faster. That looks like extra hair fall, but those old strands had to go for new, stronger ones to come in. “Ek do hafte mein thoda zyada gir sakta hai,” she warned, “par yahi sign hota hai ki follicles respond kar rahe hain.”
Hearing this up front calmed him. Instead of panicking if shedding increased, he’d know why it was happening.
How the Traya Coach Turned Confusion into a Daily Plan
From there, the coach shifted into guide mode. She took each product and turned it into a simple, repeatable habit for Rahul.
For his genetic pattern hair loss, she prescribed Minoxidil 5% topical serum with Procapil. She asked him to apply 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night on the visible thinning areas, especially the middle and front. She told him this serum works as a vasodilator, improving blood flow to the follicles and helping to reverse miniaturisation, so hair strands can grow back thicker over time.
Because of the fresh dandruff, she added an Anti-dandruff Shampoo with ketoconazole and asked him to use it two to three times a week. She explained that this would tackle the fungal component of dandruff and reduce inflammation, creating a healthier scalp for regrowth. On other days, he could use Traya’s sulphate-free Defence Shampoo to gently cleanse without stripping natural oils.
To nourish his scalp and calm daily stress, she asked him to mix the Scalp Oil fully and apply it at least twice a week for a minimum of thirty minutes before shampooing. Made with coconut oil, amla, bhringraj, brahmi, and goat milk, this oil works like a traditional shiroabhyanga: it improves blood circulation, hydrates roots and hair, and supports long-term follicle health.
Knowing that stress and sleep can quietly disturb the hair cycle, she also brought in Nasal Ghrit. She asked him to use three drops in each nostril at night. Processed cow ghee with yashtimadhu, shatavari, and jatamansi helps calm the nervous system, improves sleep, and nourishes the head region from within.
Finally, she completed his internal support. A Hair Vitamin capsule in the morning after breakfast would take care of nutritional gaps and provide natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract and bhringraj. Hair Ras tablets, rich in amalaki, bhringraj, ashwagandha, and mineral bhasmas, would help balance pitta, support metabolism, and nourish the deeper tissues that support hair and scalp health.
He asked if he needed to double up on any tablets. She was clear: one dose, twice a day, is enough. The power is in consistency, not in overdosing.
Bringing It All Together: A Routine He Could Actually Follow
The coach knew information overload could backfire, so she anchored everything in his real life. She told him to keep his supplements on the dining table, so he wouldn’t forget them after breakfast and dinner. The serums, she suggested, should live on his dressing table so that morning and night application became as natural as brushing his teeth.
She even spoke about travel. If one day was too busy, he could resume the very next day, but not stop completely. The Traya app, she reminded him, would help him tick off daily usage, track regularity, and even give him coins that translate into discounts on future kits. More importantly, the app makes it easy to book calls whenever he has doubts or sees a change in his hair.
For Rahul, this wasn’t just a set of products. It was the first time someone had mapped out his male pattern hair loss, dandruff, routine, and personality into one connected plan.
How His Story Moves Forward
By the end of the call, Rahul sounded different. The hesitation in his voice had turned into a steady “Okay, madam” after each step. He knew where his pattern hair loss was, understood that the corners and mid-scalp might respond slower than the back, and accepted that this was a six-to-eight-month journey, not a six-day fix.
He also knew what to watch for: a possible spike in shedding in the first weeks, gradual reduction in hair fall by the third month, and early regrowth showing around the fifth month. With minoxidil, Scalp Oil, anti-dandruff shampoo, Hair Vitamin, Hair Ras, and Nasal Ghrit all working together, his follicles finally had both external and internal support.
Most importantly, he didn’t feel alone. He had his coach, the app, and a clear plan. And that’s often where real iron deficiency hair fall recovery or pattern hair loss recovery begins - not just with the right actives, but with someone explaining, “Ye normal hai, bas regular raho, hum saath hain.”
