Rahul’s 2-Year Hair Fall: A Clear Plan at Last

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Problem: Rahul had been dealing with hair fall for 2 years, along with ongoing dandruff and visible gaps on the scalp.
  • Root causes discussed on the call: metabolism, nutrition, and dandruff.
  • What he used: Anti-dandruff shampoo (Level One), anti-dandruff solution (Level Two), Scalp Oil mixed with a Dandruff Therapy booster shot, plus Hair Ras, Health Tatva, and Hair Vitamins.
  • Timeline shared by the coach: 1–3 months for internal health + dandruff control, 4–6 months for hair fall control and follicle improvement, and 7–8 months for visible regrowth (especially in the mid-scalp).
  • Outcome he was working toward: better scalp health, reduced shedding, and gradual regrowth - while setting realistic expectations around the hairline.

“Bas ye bata do - use kaise hoga?”

Rahul, a working professional from North India, didn’t begin his Traya journey with big speeches or dramatic declarations. He began with a simple, practical question: “Mujhe ye to bata dengi use kaise hoga?”

Because when you’ve been seeing hair fall for two years, you don’t want motivation. You want clarity. You want to know what to apply, when to apply it, and whether you’re about to mess it up.

On his onboarding call, his Traya hair coach did exactly what most people in hair loss panic need first - she slowed the whole thing down, asked him to keep the kit in front of him, and guided him one product at a time.

The pattern behind Rahul’s hair fall

During the call, Rahul shared that he’d been noticing hair fall for “do saal se.” He also confirmed this was his first time trying any structured hair loss treatment: “Nahin… bas first time kar raha hoon.”

That detail matters. When someone has been dealing with hair fall that long and is trying a plan for the first time, they usually carry two silent worries: Will this even work for me? And what if I do it wrong?

His coach also connected the dots from his hair test and explained that his hair fall wasn’t coming from just one place. According to her, Rahul’s root causes were three: metabolism, nutrition, and dandruff.

That combination can create a loop. Dandruff can irritate the scalp and trigger itching; itching can lead to more breakage and shedding. Meanwhile, metabolism and nutrition influence how well the body absorbs and uses what it eats - so even when you’re “eating fine,” the follicles may not be getting what they need. It’s one of those underestimated links people don’t think about until someone explains the digestion and hair fall connection in plain language.

Does dandruff really cause hair fall?

Yes - dandruff and dry scalp hair loss can happen together because dandruff can cause itching, inflammation, and scalp buildup. When the scalp stays irritated and you keep scratching, hair can start falling more easily.

The questions he asked (and why they were relatable)

Rahul’s questions weren’t dramatic - they were the kind you ask when you’re genuinely trying to follow the plan.

He asked how to use each product, clarified timing, and double-checked order. At one point, he asked about the oil: “Jamati… kaise mix hoga?” because the coconut-based Scalp Oil had solidified in winter.

Instead of brushing it off, the coach gave a simple fix: warm it with warm water or keep it in sunlight so it melts, then mix the small booster shot into the larger bottle properly.

He also wanted to understand supplement timing: should they be taken together, and after what? The coach reassured him he could take them together or keep a small gap - what mattered most was not taking them on an empty stomach.

The turning point: a routine that finally felt doable

A big reason people quit hair routines isn’t lack of desire - it’s friction. Too many steps, too much confusion, and life gets in the way.

Rahul’s coach anticipated that. She told him it only takes “do minute subah” and “do minute raat” if you set it up right. Her trick was simple: keep the night product by the bedside, keep the supplements where you eat, and link the routine to habits you already do.

That’s what a personalized hair treatment plan looks like in real life - not just what’s in the box, but how you actually fit it into your day.

What Rahul’s kit looked like (and how it was used)

Rahul’s plan focused heavily on dandruff control and internal support - because the coach clearly saw dandruff, nutrition, and metabolism as key contributors.

Anti-dandruff Solution (Level Two)

He was told to apply it at night before sleeping, spread a small amount over the scalp surface, and leave it on overnight. No rubbing or massaging. Frequency: three times a week, not daily.

Scalp Oil + Dandruff Therapy booster shot

Rahul had two oils: one large Scalp Oil bottle and one small Dandruff Therapy booster shot bottle. He was asked to mix the small bottle completely into the big one, then apply it in the morning 30 minutes before bathing, twice a week.

From the Product Bible, Traya’s Scalp Oil is an Ayurvedic herbal oil designed to maintain scalp health and help stimulate hair follicles by nourishing follicles and supporting blood circulation through regular massage. It’s also not meant for those with scalp folliculitis.

Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Level One)

After the oil sat for 30 minutes, he was told to wash using the anti-dandruff shampoo. Because his dandruff was heavy at the moment, the coach suggested three times a week initially, then stepping down to twice a week once it reduced.

From the Product Bible, Traya’s anti-dandruff shampoo uses Ketoconazole 2% to reduce dandruff by acting against the dandruff-causing fungus, helping relieve itching and inflammation so the scalp environment becomes healthier.

Hair Ras, Health Tatva, and Hair Vitamins

Rahul’s coach also explained his oral supplements:

Hair Ras was positioned as daily nourishment that helps balance Pitta (excess body heat), supports hair quality, and may delay early greying. In the Product Bible, Hair Ras is described as supporting scalp and hair health, improving blood flow to follicles, and nourishing Asthi Dhatu, with benefits like improved hair quality and pitta balance.

Health Tatva was explained as support for digestion, metabolism, and energy - because sluggish digestion and poor absorption can hold back follicle nutrition. (Important note from the Product Bible: Health Tatva should not be taken in gastric ulcers.)

Hair Vitamins were to be taken once daily after breakfast to support nutritional gaps that can contribute to thinning.

Setting expectations: where regrowth comes first

The coach gave Rahul a realistic timeline: hair changes are gradual, and consistency matters.

She explained that in the first three months, internal health improves and dandruff starts to come under control. By months four to six, hair fall control becomes more noticeable and follicle health improves. By months seven to eight, regrowth can start showing - especially where the mid-scalp has visible gaps.

She was also honest about hairline regrowth: it tends to be slower and harder, so they don’t give assurance there, though some people do see improvement.

Resolution: not a miracle - an organised plan

By the end of the call, Rahul sounded clearer and calmer. “Haan mam, aa gaya,” he said - he’d understood the routine.

What changed wasn’t his scalp overnight. It was the fog around the process. He now had a structure: what to apply at night, what to do before a bath, how often to shampoo, how to take his supplements, and what kind of progress to expect if he stayed consistent.

And that’s how many hair journeys actually begin - not with instant regrowth, but with one week of finally doing things the right way, in the right order, without confusion.
