Neeraj’s Winter Dandruff to Hair Fall Plan

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Key problem: Hair fall for the last 2–3 years, plus dandruff that gets “bahut zyada” in winters
  • Root causes discussed: Metabolism and nutrition as drivers, along with dandruff/scalp health
  • What he used: Anti-dandruff night lotion, anti-dandruff shampoo, Scalp Oil mixed with a dandruff oil shot, plus Hair Ras, Hair Vitamin, and Health Tatva
  • Timeline shared by coach: Internal health support in months 1–2, scalp and hair fall control by months 3–4, regrowth around months 5–6 (sometimes later if dandruff takes longer)
  • Outcome focus: A realistic, personalized hair treatment plan aimed at reducing hair fall, improving scalp health, and maintaining the hairline (with regrowth possible in some cases with consistency)

The winter dandruff that pushed him to finally act

“Pichhle do-tin saal se hair fall ho raha hai, mam…,” Neeraj said plainly on the call, like someone who had gotten used to it.

But then he added the detail that made his struggle feel immediate: “Sardiyan shuru hoti to bahut jyada ho jata hai dandruff.” For him, winters weren’t just about dry air and cold mornings. They were about a scalp that turned itchy and flaky, and hair fall that felt harder to ignore.

Neeraj, a working professional from North India, hadn’t tried any treatment earlier. “Nahin ji, kuchh nahin karaya,” he admitted. He also mentioned two things that quietly shaped his day-to-day: a dust allergy (bad enough that he sometimes needed tablets), and “majale ki dikkat” - digestive discomfort that kept coming back.

When hair fall isn’t “just hair fall”

Neeraj’s Traya coach walked him through something many people miss for years: hair fall is rarely one single problem. It’s usually a pattern.

Based on his hair test, the coach explained that Neeraj’s root causes were metabolism and nutrition. In simple terms, if your internal system is running sluggishly or you’re not absorbing nourishment well, your hair follicles can end up under-fueled. That’s where the digestion and hair fall connection becomes real - not as a trendy phrase, but as a daily body reality.

On top of that, Neeraj had a clear seasonal scalp trigger. Dandruff, when it flares up, can cause itching and irritation, and constant scratching can worsen hair fall. That’s why dandruff and dry scalp hair loss is such a common pairing, especially when dandruff returns every winter.

Q: Does dandruff actually cause hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching, inflammation, and repeated scratching, hair can fall more easily. That’s why controlling dandruff early helps create a healthier scalp environment for hair to grow.

“Itni baat yaad kaun rakhega?” - the moment of vulnerability

As the coach explained the routine, Neeraj said what many people think but don’t always say out loud: “Aap jitni baat bata rahe… itni to yaad kaun rakhega, mam?”

It wasn’t resistance. It was overwhelm.

So the coach adjusted immediately - suggesting call recording and then agreeing to send the instructions on WhatsApp: “Sure sir, main prescription aapko bhej dungi.” That small pivot matters, because hair treatment only works when it becomes doable.

What the coach promised - and what she didn’t

One of the most trust-building moments in the call was the coach’s honesty around hairline expectations. Neeraj’s pattern sounded like male pattern hair loss, and the coach explained that regrowth on the hairline can be difficult because follicles there may become very weak over time.

Instead of over-promising, she framed the goal clearly: no “assurance” of hairline regrowth, but a strong focus on maintaining the current condition, with regrowth seen in some cases when people stay consistent.

That’s not a dramatic claim. It’s a realistic plan.

Building Neeraj’s routine around dandruff control, scalp care, and internal support

Neeraj’s kit was structured to tackle both scalp health and internal drivers like metabolism and nutrition.

For dandruff control, the coach guided him to use Traya’s Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2% w/v) at night, three times a week, and follow it with the Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole IP 2%) the next morning. In Traya’s approach, these products are meant to reduce dandruff by targeting the fungus Malassezia furfur, while also helping calm itching and inflammation so the scalp can recover.

Then came the oil step - with a key rule Neeraj asked about directly: “Scalp Oil shampoo karne ke baad lagana hai ya pehle?”
“Shampoo karne se pehle,” the coach clarified, adding an important caution: applying oil after shampoo when dandruff is active can make dandruff feel worse for some people. So Neeraj was told to apply the Scalp Oil, leave it for about half an hour, and then wash his hair.

Alongside this, the routine included internal support:

  • Hair Ras, positioned as daily natural hair nourishment, designed to balance pitta dosha and support scalp and hair health while improving blood circulation to hair follicles and nourishment of asthi dhatu
  • Health Tatva, a digestive stimulant aimed at improving metabolism and nutrient absorption - because when nutrients are absorbed well, they can better reach the follicles
  • Hair Vitamin, to support nutritional gaps and hair health with vitamins, minerals, and natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract

This is where the plan becomes more than a shampoo-and-oil routine. It’s the kind of structure people look for when they’ve been stuck in hair fall due to guesswork.

The timeline that made it feel manageable

The coach mapped out a clear expectation window:
In months 1–2, the focus is internal health and dandruff control. By months 3–4, scalp health should feel better and hair fall can start reducing. By months 5–6, regrowth may begin.

She also set one realistic condition: if dandruff takes longer to control, regrowth might also get delayed. It wasn’t framed as failure - it was framed as biology and time.

Resolution: a follow-up, a plan, and a calmer start

Neeraj didn’t end the call with dramatic emotion. He ended it with something more valuable: readiness.

He asked the practical questions, got the routine clarified, requested the instructions on WhatsApp, and agreed to a follow-up call in about 15 days. That’s how a long hair fall journey usually turns - quietly, when someone finally has support, structure, and a routine they can repeat.

And for someone who’d lived with hair fall for 2–3 years without treatment, that shift - from “kuchh nahin karaya” to consistent care - was the real turning point.
