Neeraj’s Battle With Dandruff and Hair Fall Since 2017

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Key problem: Chronic hair fall since 2017 with “bahut jyada” dandruff and visible thinning across the scalp.
  • What seemed to fuel it: Ongoing heavy dandruff (itching/discomfort) plus a long, stop-start treatment history that didn’t sustain results.
  • What he used: Traya Anti-dandruff Shampoo and Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (solution), plus Scalp Oil mixed with Dandruff Therapy oil shot; and internal support with Hair Ras, Health Tatva, and Hair Vitamins.
  • Timeline shared by the coach: First 1–3 months focused on internal support and dandruff control; visible improvement expected over 10–12 months because the thinning looked advanced.
  • Outcome in the moment: A clear, manageable routine (“2 minutes morning, 2 minutes night”), realistic expectations (“control, not forever gone”), and a follow-up plan to adjust the kit once dandruff reduces.

The first thing Neeraj noticed wasn’t a single dramatic moment. It was the way his hair kept quietly slipping away - year after year - until one day it felt like the scalp had started showing up everywhere.

When he got on a call with a Traya hair coach, he put it simply: hair fall had been going on since 2017. And alongside it, there was one problem that kept returning like an uninvited guest - “Dandruff, sir, bahut jyada tha.”

He wasn’t calling for miracles. He just wanted two things: “Mera jo dandruff hai, woh khatam ho jaaye… aur jo hair hai, bahut jyada ho jaaye.”

When quick fixes stop working

Neeraj had tried to handle it the way most of us do - by experimenting.

He used an oil (he recalled it as “Neo hair oil”) for a couple of months. He did see some response, but then things went back to the same pattern: “Response mila tha. Phir waise hi jhadne laga.” The dandruff, he said, made it worse and kept becoming the bigger problem.

He also tried medicines from a hair expert for about two months. Again, there was some improvement, but the treatment couldn’t continue - “Paisa nahin tha.” The stop-start cycle left him with a familiar frustration: some hope, then disappointment.

By the time he reached Traya, the concern wasn’t only hair fall anymore. It was that overall thinning had progressed. The coach pointed out that the stage looked advanced - hair had become thin across the scalp, with the middle looking increasingly empty.

The root cause that kept showing up: dandruff that wouldn’t quit

Neeraj kept coming back to one line: “Yahi sab… problem dandruff ho gaya hai.”

That matters because dandruff isn’t just “flakes.” When it’s heavy and persistent, it can create constant scalp discomfort - itching, irritation, and inflammation. Neeraj even said directly, “Dandruff ki wajah se… dikkat hota tha.” Over time, this kind of irritated scalp environment can start feeling like dandruff and dry scalp hair loss - where the scalp’s health drops and the hair’s hold weakens.

On the call, the coach also reframed a crucial expectation: dandruff is often chronic. Neeraj initially wanted it “pura khatam,” but the coach explained that the real win is reducing it and keeping it controlled long-term - usually with the right anti-dandruff routine.

Q: Does dandruff trigger hair fall?

Yes - especially when dandruff is heavy and keeps coming back. The itching and irritation can disturb scalp health, and repeated flare-ups can lead to more shedding over time. The goal is to reduce and control dandruff consistently so the scalp can support healthier hair.

The vulnerable questions he asked (and why they mattered)

Once the routine began to sound detailed - lotion, oil, shampoo, tablets - Neeraj asked what most people hesitate to ask: “Sir… donon saath mein le sakte hain na?” He wanted to be sure the tablets could be taken together.

He also admitted he’d already taken the hair vitamin at night because he thought it was meant for nighttime. The coach corrected him gently and clearly: take the vitamin in the morning, and if he ever misses the morning dose, he can take it after lunch.

This wasn’t just about instructions. It was about removing uncertainty - because confusion is one of the biggest reasons people quit early.

The turning point: a routine that finally felt doable

Neeraj’s coach didn’t sell urgency. He sold clarity.

He set expectations honestly: since Neeraj’s thinning looked advanced, meaningful change would need time. With consistent use, the coach said changes can start showing in 5–8 months, but for “bahut achchhe result,” the real commitment should be 10–12 months.

He also broke the journey into phases so it felt less overwhelming:
In the first 1–3 months, focus would be on internal support and heavy dandruff; by 4–6 months, hair fall could come under control; and by 7–9 months, hair quality and strength could improve further.

Neeraj even asked about next kits - would they change? The coach explained that once dandruff reduces, the kit can be adjusted, and the team would call to track progress.

That’s what a personalized hair treatment plan looks like in real life: start with the most urgent blocker (the scalp), then shift as the scalp calms.

What Neeraj started using (and why)

The coach mapped the kit to Neeraj’s biggest pain point - heavy dandruff - while also supporting internal health.

For dandruff control and scalp reset:
Neeraj was asked to use Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (solution) on the overall scalp three nights a week, applied gently without rubbing. Along with it, he was to use Scalp Oil mixed with the Dandruff Therapy oil shot twice a week before a wash, then cleanse with Traya’s Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%), which is designed to reduce dandruff and help prevent further fungal growth while soothing the scalp.

For internal support (daily tablets):
He was guided to take Hair Ras (for daily natural hair nourishment; supports scalp and hair health by balancing pitta and improving blood circulation to hair follicles), Health Tatva (to support digestion, absorption, metabolism, and energy - highlighting the digestion and hair fall connection), and Hair Vitamins (to support nutritional gaps and hair health).

Neeraj’s story wasn’t specifically about hair fall due to anemia, but his routine still had a clear “inside + outside” logic: calm the scalp environment, and support the body’s nourishment pathways so follicles can actually use what they receive.

Resolution: not a promise - an actual plan

By the end of the call, Neeraj wasn’t left with vague motivation. He had specifics, a timeline, and permission to be realistic.

He accepted the long view: “Han sir,” he said when the coach confirmed the 10–12 month commitment. He also began immediately - he shared that he had started using the kit from the previous night.

The most important shift was subtle: he moved from chasing quick fixes to learning consistency. From “dandruff khatam” to “dandruff control.” From confusion to a routine he could repeat without thinking.

And that’s where most real transformations begin.
