Neeraj’s 8-Month Plan to Tackle Thinning Hair

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Key problem: Around 1 year of hair fall, thinning, and a visible “center” scalp with worry about the hairline going back.
  • Underlying root causes discussed: Mild constipation and acidity (gut health), plus dandruff-related scalp health concerns.
  • Main products used: Hair Ras (oral), Gutt Shuddhi (oral for gut), Anti-dandruff Shampoo, Scalp Oil + oil shot (mixed), and Minoxidil serum (topical).
  • Timeline shared by coach: Months 1–3 focus on internal + scalp health; months 4–6 hair fall control; months 7–8 visible changes like thickness and density.
  • Outcome aimed for: Better density and thickness, controlled shedding, and support for regrowth in the center/crown area (with realistic expectations for the front hairline).

“Comb karte hi… pura baal nikal ke aata”

Neeraj, a working professional from North India, had started noticing something that’s hard to ignore once it begins: every time he combed, it felt like “pura baal” was coming out with it. Shampooing made it worse - “bahut sara baal haath mein aa jata.”

It wasn’t just shedding. What bothered him more was what he could see in the mirror: thinning, a patch-like feel as hair moved back, and a center scalp that looked increasingly visible. He didn’t want miracles. He wanted the slide to stop, and he wanted his hair to feel “thin se theek ho jaye” - thicker, stronger, more reliable.

By the time his Traya kit arrived, he’d already been dealing with hair fall for about a year. This was his first real treatment attempt.

When hair fall isn’t just “hair” - it’s scalp + gut + consistency

On the call, his Traya hair coach reviewed what Neeraj had shared in his hair test. Along with hair fall, Neeraj had mentioned mild constipation and acidity. He also had dandruff - thankfully mild, though it had been marked as “heavy” by mistake.

That combination matters because hair health doesn’t run on hope; it runs on supply lines. If digestion is off - constipation, acidity, incomplete gut clearance - your body’s ability to effectively process and absorb nutrition can take a hit. This is the digestion and hair fall connection people don’t always link until a coach says it out loud.

And dandruff, even when mild, can quietly chip away at scalp comfort. Itching and flaking can trigger more touching, more scratching, and more stress around hair care - setting up a cycle many people describe as dandruff and dry scalp hair loss.

Neeraj’s plan, therefore, wasn’t built around one “hero” product. It was built like a routine he could actually follow: internal support, scalp hygiene, and targeted topical action.

Q: Can gut issues like constipation really affect hair fall?

Yes - when gut motility is sluggish and acidity keeps flaring, the body may struggle with efficient digestion and nutrient absorption. Over time, that can affect how well follicles get what they need to stay strong.

The questions he didn’t hesitate to ask

Neeraj’s doubts weren’t dramatic - they were practical. He wanted clarity on usage even though he had the prescription in hand: “Bas wohi, dawa kaise use karna hai?”

Then came the big fear many people carry quietly: “Agar six months use kar rahe hain, agar changes nahi aa raha… cashback?” He wanted reassurance that he wasn’t taking a blind leap.

The coach explained Traya’s money-back policy in the same breath as the timeline - because expectations and trust are also part of treatment.

And then there was a moment that revealed just how fed up Neeraj felt. He said he was thinking, “pura baal remove hi kar lein” - as if shaving it off would be emotionally easier than watching it thin day after day.

The coach gently discouraged a clean shave, reminding him he could trim if he wanted, but he didn’t need to erase everything to start over.

The turning point: a plan that took “2 minutes subah, 2 minutes raat”

Neeraj’s coach didn’t just say “use the kit.” He made it feel doable.

He also checked Neeraj’s uploaded scalp photo and asked for a full-scalp upload (since Neeraj had only shared one side). That small detail matters - because a personalized hair treatment plan needs an honest baseline.

Then came the structure Neeraj needed:

  • Months 1–3: Focus on internal health and scalp health; reduce dandruff.
  • Months 4–6: Hair fall control.
  • Months 7–8: More visible changes - density and thickness improving, and regrowth more likely in center/crown areas. For the front hairline, the coach set realistic expectations: it’s harder to grow, but regrowth has been seen in some cases.

It was the first time Neeraj heard a timeline that wasn’t vague - and didn’t promise overnight results.

What was in Neeraj’s kit, and why it fit his concerns

Neeraj’s routine combined internal and external care - aligned to what he had shared: hair fall + thinning, dandruff, constipation/acidity.

Hair Ras (oral)

The coach instructed: 2 tablets after breakfast and 2 after dinner.
Hair Ras is positioned for daily natural hair nourishment and is designed to help balance pitta dosha and support hair and scalp health. It’s also described as helping improve blood circulation to hair follicles to nourish them from within.

Gutt Shuddhi (oral)

For Neeraj’s mild constipation, the coach pointed out Gutt Shuddhi was already added: 1 tablet at night after dinner.
This supports gut health and aims to relieve mild constipation, improve gut motility, and remove unwanted toxins - supporting the internal environment that hair follicles depend on.

Anti-dandruff Shampoo (topical)

Since Neeraj’s dandruff was mild, the anti-dandruff shampoo in his kit was meant to control it and keep the scalp cleaner. Traya’s anti-dandruff shampoo uses Ketoconazole IP 2%, which helps reduce dandruff by addressing the fungal factor behind it and soothing scalp inflammation.

Scalp Oil + oil shot (topical)

Neeraj was guided to mix the small oil shot into the big scalp oil bottle, then apply to the scalp twice a week, massage for 2–3 minutes, keep it for at least 30 minutes, and wash.

This step matters because regular oil massage (shiroabhyanga) is positioned as supporting scalp nourishment and circulation.

Minoxidil serum (topical)

This was the daily anchor: 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, applied on a dry scalp and left on. Importantly, the coach clarified: “Minoxidil mein massage nahi karna hai.”

He also prepared Neeraj for something that scares most first-time users: initial shedding. The coach explained that increased hair fall in the first few weeks can happen, and it’s often a sign that weaker hair is shedding first. Some dryness or itching can also occur, and regular scalp washing helps.

Resolution: from panic to a plan he could stick to

By the end of the call, Neeraj sounded steadier. His questions had answers. His fears - about money, results, and even that urge to shave everything off - had been met with structure instead of pressure.

He knew what he was working toward: stronger hair, better density, controlled shedding, and a clearer path to regrowth in areas like the center scalp. And he knew it wouldn’t be instant - but it would be tracked, supported, and adjusted with follow-ups.

Because for Neeraj, the real change began before the hair did: it began when his routine stopped feeling confusing - and started feeling possible.
