Neeraj’s 2-Year Dandruff-to-Density Journey

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Problem: Sticky, stubborn dandruff that “chipsak jata hai” and ongoing hair fall for nearly 2 years
  • Root causes discussed: Dandruff-related scalp irritation and the digestion/metabolism angle affecting nourishment to hair
  • What he used: Anti-dandruff shampoo + anti-dandruff night lotion, Scalp Oil mixed with a dandruff therapy shot, plus Hair Ras, Health Tatva, and Biotin
  • Timeline shared by the coach: First 2 months focus on dandruff, months 3–4 for hair fall control, month 5 onward for visible density/growth
  • Outcome he was working toward: Control dandruff first, then progress to stronger regrowth support as guided (including a possible switch to Minoxidil once dandruff settles)

“I have the most dandruff… it just doesn’t end,” Neeraj said on the call, sounding equal parts tired and matter-of-fact. Then he added the line that made it feel urgent: “And because of that, hair fall is happening continuously.”

For close to two years, he had been living with a scalp that wouldn’t cooperate - sticky dandruff that clung on, hair that felt unhealthy, and shedding that didn’t seem to slow down. He hadn’t tried any prior treatment. No thyroid issues, no other medical conditions - just a stubborn scalp problem that kept escalating.

What he needed wasn’t a quick tip. He needed a routine he could actually follow.

When dandruff becomes more than “just dandruff”

Neeraj, a working professional from North India, had a simple ask when the Traya hair coach called to guide him through his delivered kit: help him understand how to use it, and whether it would finally make a difference.

His dandruff wasn’t the “dry flakes that brush off” kind. When the coach asked if it was dry or sticky, Neeraj clarified: “Sticky - chipak jata hai, chhoot-ta nahi hai.”

That detail matters. Because when dandruff becomes persistent and itchy, the scalp can turn into an inflamed, uncomfortable surface - one that’s constantly being disturbed. And for many people, that irritation becomes the backdrop for dandruff and dry scalp hair loss, where repeated itching and buildup can contribute to more hair fall over time.

The root cause Traya focused on: scalp health + metabolism

The coach explained Neeraj’s hair fall wasn’t random. In his case, two themes stood out: dandruff and metabolism.

From Traya’s lens, dandruff needs to be controlled first so the scalp can return to a healthier baseline. Alongside that, internal factors like sluggish digestion and absorption can quietly reduce the quality of nourishment reaching the follicles - this is where the digestion and hair fall connection becomes practical, not abstract.

Health Tatva is designed to support digestion and nutrient absorption, helping address fatigue and sluggish metabolism that can indirectly affect hair quality. Hair Ras, positioned like “Chavanprash for the hair,” supports overall hair and scalp nourishment by balancing Pitta dosha, improving blood circulation to hair follicles, and supporting tissue nourishment (Asthi Dhatu).

Q: Does dandruff really cause hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching, inflammation, and scalp buildup, hair can shed more easily. Traya’s anti-dandruff products focus on clearing dandruff so the scalp can better support healthy hair.

The questions he asked (and what they revealed)

Neeraj’s doubts weren’t dramatic - but they were real. He asked practical questions people often hesitate to ask:

“How long does one kit last?”
When he heard it was a month, he did the math out loud: “So for five months, I’ll need to continue?”

He also kept returning to the routine, repeating it back to make sure he wouldn’t mess it up: the night lotion schedule, the oil mixing, the shampoo frequency, and when to take supplements. That repetition wasn’t confusion - it was commitment forming in real time.

The turning point: a routine that felt doable

The coach didn’t just list products. She mapped a timeline and gave Neeraj a way to think about progress:

In the first two months, the priority is dandruff control. Months three and four are where he may notice hair fall getting controlled. From the fifth month, he should start looking for density and visible growth.

Just as importantly, she helped him anchor the routine into daily life: keep the night lotion by the bedside, supplements on the dining table, and don’t quit if a day gets missed - restart with the same rhythm.

It’s the essence of a personalized hair treatment plan: not only what to use, but how to stick with it.

What Neeraj’s Traya regimen looked like

His kit centered on controlling stubborn dandruff first, while supporting internal nourishment.

He was guided to use the Anti-dandruff Night Lotion three times a week before bed, applied across the scalp. The next day, he would shampoo - and before shampooing, apply oils for at least 30 minutes.

The oil step mattered: he was asked to mix Traya Scalp Oil with the dandruff therapy shot (a booster oil aimed at heavy dandruff and itching). Scalp Oil, rooted in the Ayurvedic practice of shiroabhyanga, is designed to nourish the scalp and support blood circulation to follicles through regular massage and medicated oil preparation.

For internal support, the coach explained his supplements clearly: Biotin once daily after breakfast, Hair Ras twice in the morning and twice at night after meals, and Health Tatva once in the morning and once at night after meals (and never on an empty stomach).

The “after” he was moving toward

By the end of the call, Neeraj’s tone had shifted from problem-reporting to plan-confirming. “Clear hai,” he said, after repeating the supplement schedule one more time.

The coach also set expectations for what comes next: once dandruff is controlled, Traya can consider switching him to a Minoxidil serum, which is used for regrowth in pattern hair loss cases - but only after the scalp is calmer and more stable.

Neeraj agreed to a follow-up in 10–15 days. Not because he was chasing a miracle, but because for the first time in two years, he had structure - and support.
