Asha’s Thinning Hair Journey: A Routine That Stuck

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Key problem: Overall scalp thinning with ongoing hair fall, plus early greying and winter-time dandruff
  • Likely root causes discussed: Scalp health issues and internal factors like nutrition, lifestyle, and thyroid balance
  • What she used: Thyro Santulan (oral supplement) + a daily Hair Active Serum, along with Nourish Oil and Defence Conditioner on wash days
  • Timeline she was guided for: Initial adjustment in the first 1–2 months; visible hair fall reduction around month 3; better volume from month 4 onwards
  • Transformation: Less confusion, more clarity and confidence - because she finally had a personalized hair treatment plan and a coach to keep her consistent

The day she noticed dandruff coming back

Asha had already started doing what most people do when hair feels “off” - oiling and a quick massage before a wash. But this time, as she ran her fingers through her scalp, she felt it.

“Massage kiya, to usmein mujhe dandruff bhi mila thoda,” she said on her first call with the Traya team. Winter had brought back the flakes, and alongside that, she was also dealing with something heavier: “Pure scalp mein thinning ho gayi hai.”

And then there was the detail she slipped in almost casually, the way we sometimes do when we’re trying not to worry too much: “Is baar… thoda grey ho raha hai.”

She wasn’t calling for a dramatic makeover. She was calling because things were changing - and she wanted to understand what to do next, before it became her new normal.

When hair fall isn’t just “one problem”

During her consultation, the coach walked her through what her hair test already suggested: hair fall can start from more than one place.

One part of it is external - your scalp health. If the scalp isn’t healthy, the environment around the follicles gets disturbed, and hair becomes more likely to shed.

The second part is internal - what’s happening inside the body, including nutrition, lifestyle, and thyroid. As the coach explained, when internal health is off, “balon tak proper nourishment he nahin pahunch pati,” and that lack of steady nourishment can trigger shedding and visible thinning.

Asha also shared that she had “thyroid” (she called it “highport”) detected recently, and she was taking another Ayurvedic medicine for heel pain. Her first practical learning was a simple one: don’t take everything together. The coach asked her to keep a 5–10 minute gap between her other medicines and Traya supplements.

It was reassurance with structure - exactly what first-time users need.

Q: Does dandruff cause hair fall?

Yes - when dandruff leads to itching, inflammation, and repeated scratching, hair can start shedding more. Managing dandruff and maintaining scalp hygiene can support healthier hair growth conditions.

The doubts that made her pause (and the clarity that helped her start)

Asha’s questions were the kind that come from wanting to do things “right,” not from overthinking.

After the conditioner, she asked, “Uske baad kuchh lagana hai ya aise hi chhod dena?” She also wanted to know what happens after finishing the full course: if results come, can she stop everything?

And like many people beginning a daily serum, she had to be prepared for the most anxiety-inducing part: the possibility of increased hair fall at the start. The coach explained that in the first few weeks, shedding can increase and that it’s normal - older, weaker strands make space for stronger growth. Asha’s response was quiet but telling: “Nahin… koi doubt nahin.”

That’s what clarity does. It turns panic into patience.

Building a routine that felt doable

Asha washed her hair three times a week, and the coach used that as a base to personalize her wash-day routine - especially because she couldn’t confidently tell whether her scalp was dry or oily. When Asha shared that oiliness shows up by the second day, the coach identified it as being on the oilier side and advised her to continue washing three times weekly to maintain scalp hygiene - important in dandruff and dry scalp hair loss concerns.

Her wash-day routine looked like this:
On the morning of wash day, she was asked to apply Nourish Oil to both scalp and hair length, massage lightly, keep it for 30 minutes, and then shampoo to ensure the scalp is clean - because serum performs best on a clean scalp. After that, she’d apply Defence Conditioner only on hair lengths for about three minutes, keeping it off the scalp.

Her daily routine was simple and consistent:
At night, she’d apply the Hair Active Serum - 1 ml across the scalp using the dropper, spreading gently with fingertips, without massaging.

And internally, she was put on Thyro Santulan, with a clear dose timing: two tablets after breakfast and two after dinner, always after food for better absorption.

This mix mattered because it addressed both ends - scalp support plus internal balance - without making her day feel consumed by the regimen.

Why these products matched Asha’s concerns

Asha’s kit aligned with what she reported: thinning across the scalp, ongoing hair fall, a thyroid-related context, and seasonal dandruff.

Thyro Santulan is designed for people diagnosed with low thyroid levels (hypothyroidism) and supports thyroid-triggered hair fall by improving metabolism and digestion and promoting thyroid function. Since thyroid imbalance can impact metabolism and hair thinning, this internal support became her foundation - especially for the digestion and hair fall connection the coach referenced while explaining nourishment.

The Hair Active Serum (daily topical) was positioned as her long-term maintainer too - something to continue even after the oral course finishes, the way we keep certain parts of hair care ongoing.

Nourish Oil supported hair texture - shine, frizz control, and breakage reduction - useful when hair already feels weaker during thinning phases. And Defence Conditioner helped keep hair lengths manageable and moisturized (especially helpful for people using active hair regimens that may make hair feel rough).

Asha also raised the issue of greying. The coach set expectations clearly: already-grey hair isn’t reversible, but early greying may be delayed with proper nutrients and consistent nourishment.

The timeline that gave her hope

Asha wanted to know, very directly, “Mujhe kab tak lena hai? Three months tak result milega, uske baad bhi continue rakhna hai?”

The coach gave her a realistic arc:
The first two months focus on removing weaker hair and improving scalp health - preparing the scalp for stronger growth support. Around the third month, she should see a visible reduction in hair fall. From the fourth month onward, she could expect further reduction and better volume.

And for motivation, she was introduced to a consistency tool inside the Traya app - logging doses to earn coins and get up to 20% discount on the next kit. Practical, not preachy.

Most importantly, she wasn’t left alone with a plan. A follow-up call was scheduled within 15 days - because consistency is easier when someone checks in.

Resolution: not a miracle - just a steadier mirror

This call wasn’t the “after” photo yet. But it was the start of Asha’s shift from guessing to following a plan.

She began immediately: “Mainne subah ka hair wash routine… aaj se shuru kar diya.”

For someone navigating thinning, flakes, and the worry of hair turning grey too soon, that first day matters. It’s the day you stop bargaining with the problem and start working with a system - one that’s built around your scalp, your internal health, and the reality that change takes time.
