Arjun’s 8-Month Plan to Rebuild Hair Density

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • What was happening: Hair fall for about 4–5 years, with a noticeably receding front hairline; wanted regrowth and density.
  • What was driving it: Inconsistent routine with earlier treatments (including minoxidil for 2–3 years) and mild winter dandruff with daily itching.
  • What he used: Minoxidil (topical), Scalp Oil mixed with Growth Therapy booster oil, Anti-dandruff Shampoo, plus supplements: Hair Vitamin, Hair Ras, and Health Tatva.
  • Timeline he was guided on: 1–3 months for internal support to begin, 4–6 months to see hair fall reduce, and around 8 months for visible changes like baby hair and better density.
  • Outcome (so far): Not a “before-after” yet - this call was his turning point for clarity, consistency, and realistic expectations (especially for the hairline).

“If I’m in college all day… when do I even apply this?”

Arjun, a college-going student, had a practical problem that felt bigger than it sounded. His Traya call was scheduled for one reason: he needed someone to tell him exactly how to use his kit without messing it up.

Because hair fall had already been stealing time from him for years.

He’d been dealing with hair fall for “four to five years,” and like many people, he admitted he started treatment late because he thought it was “just normal.” By the time he took it seriously, he had already tried a local doctor’s treatment, used minoxidil for two to three years, and even got three PRP injections - yet nothing felt stable. Results would come and go. Mostly go.

And now he wanted what he said clearly on the call: “I want regrowth and density - both.”

When previous treatments work… and then suddenly don’t

Arjun’s story wasn’t about not trying. It was about not being able to sustain.

He told the coach that minoxidil had shown some effect “in between,” but the bigger issue was routine. College days started early. “I leave at 6 a.m. and come back at 3–4 p.m.,” he said, asking if he could apply minoxidil in the afternoon instead of morning.

This is the part many people don’t talk about: hair fall treatments often fail not because the product is “weak,” but because life gets in the way. Arjun said it himself - because of his routine, he couldn’t stay regular. Whenever he stopped and restarted, “those results didn’t stay.”

That inconsistency became the quiet root cause behind his frustration - less about a single product, more about the stop-start cycle.

The scalp context he almost ignored: mild dandruff, daily itching

Arjun also mentioned something else: in winter, he noticed mild dandruff. Not dramatic flakes - more like, “If I rub my hair, a little dandruff comes out.” But one line stood out: the itching was daily.

Even mild dandruff plus itching can become a background stressor on the scalp. In Traya’s approach, scalp health matters because dandruff can lead to itching, and constant itching can trigger more hair fall - what many people experience as dandruff and dry scalp hair loss.

The coach asked him to observe a simple pattern after hair wash: when does dandruff show up again? The point wasn’t to overthink - it was to track, so the routine can be adjusted if needed.

Q: Does dandruff actually cause hair fall?

Yes - mainly indirectly. Dandruff can cause itching and scalp irritation, and repeated scratching can increase hair fall. Clearing dandruff helps maintain scalp health so hair can grow in a healthier environment.

The moment of vulnerability: “How many hours’ gap do I need?”

Arjun’s questions weren’t dramatic, but they were honest - the kind that reveal anxiety behind the scenes.

He asked, “How many hours’ gap should I maintain between morning and night minoxidil?” He was trying to do it right, not just do it.

The coach explained there’s no rigid “exact” hour requirement, but it’s preferred to apply separately in the morning and at night. If needed, he could aim for a 7–8 hour gap.

More importantly, she gave him something that actually fit college life: use reminders, take two minutes out, and if needed, carry the bottle because the kit is travel-friendly.

That’s what a personalized hair treatment plan looks like in real life: not perfect mornings, just repeatable habits.

What the Traya coach changed: clarity, sequence, and expectations

Instead of overwhelming Arjun with “more,” the coach simplified everything into a clean sequence - what to do daily, what to do weekly, and what to expect emotionally.

The daily non-negotiable: Minoxidil, correctly

Arjun was guided to apply minoxidil 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml at night, only on the visible thinning areas of the scalp, spreading gently without massaging. If it drips on the face, wash with normal water - don’t rub.

She also prepared him for the most common fear: initial shedding. Early on, minoxidil may increase shedding as weak hairs fall before stronger growth begins. Arjun already knew this, saying, “New hair will come, I know,” but hearing it confirmed matters.

The weekly support: oiling and dandruff care

He was told to mix the small Growth Therapy booster oil into the larger Scalp Oil bottle and apply it twice a week, at least 30 minutes before hair wash.

For washing, he was instructed to use the Anti-dandruff Shampoo 2–3 times a week. Traya’s Anti-dandruff Shampoo contains Ketoconazole 2%, which helps reduce dandruff by targeting the fungal root cause and supports scalp comfort (with soothing support from Aloe Vera as per the product positioning).

The internal foundation: supplements with food

Arjun’s kit also had three supplements: Hair Vitamin, Hair Ras, and Health Tatva.

He was told to take all supplements after food, not before. Hair Vitamin is taken after breakfast; Health Tatva is taken after breakfast and after dinner; and Hair Ras is taken after breakfast and after dinner.

In Traya’s system, Health Tatva supports digestion and absorption - important because poor absorption can impact how nutrients reach follicles, reinforcing the digestion and hair fall connection. Hair Ras is positioned as daily natural nourishment that supports scalp and hair health from within by balancing Pitta and supporting tissue nourishment.

The hardest truth he needed to hear: hairline regrowth isn’t guaranteed

The coach also addressed something many brands avoid saying out loud: the front hairline is harder.

She told Arjun that Traya doesn’t assure regrowth on the hairline because it can be difficult, though some customers do see results. What they do assure: with regularity, it can help prevent the hairline from receding further. For crown/vertex areas, minoxidil is expected to help more reliably.

It wasn’t a sales promise. It was expectation-setting - and for someone who had already tried “everything,” that honesty can be a relief.

Resolution: a routine he can actually follow

This call didn’t end with a transformation photo. It ended with something more foundational: Arjun finally had a routine that made sense, and a timeline that didn’t set him up for disappointment.

He agreed that earlier inconsistency had delayed results, and he understood the 8-month journey: internal improvements may start in 1–3 months, hair fall reduction is often noticed in 4–6 months, and visible density changes may take around 8 months.

For the first time in years, he wasn’t adding another “new treatment.” He was building consistency around the right sequence.
