Amit’s Dandruff-to-Density Traya Journey

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • Concern: Heavy dandruff, thinning hair, and a receding hairline that had been slowly worsening for 4–5 years
  • Context behind it: A scalp struggling with stubborn dandruff and long-term, gradual male pattern hair loss; plus confusion about how to layer products correctly
  • What he used: Traya Scalp Oil mixed with the Dandruff Therapy oil shot, Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%), Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2%), and internal support with Hair Ras, Health Tatva, Digest Boost, Gutt Shuddhi, and Hair Vitamin
  • Timeline: First 3 months focus on dandruff + internal health; hair fall reduction around months 4–6; early baby-hair regrowth can start from month 3 onward
  • Outcome: Clarity, structure, and a plan he could actually follow consistently - plus a realistic expectation that hairline regrowth is harder, but density and control are achievable

The night he finally asked, “In teeno ko use kaise karna hai?”

Amit, a working professional from North India, had already done the hardest part: he ordered the kit.

But once it arrived, he found himself staring at three bottles - shampoo, Scalp Oil, and a night lotion - thinking what most people think but don’t admit out loud: “In teeno ko use kaise karna hai?”

He’d watched the videos. Still, doubt lingered. Especially around one line he couldn’t forget: that two products shouldn’t be used “together.” So he called.

Not because he didn’t want results - because he did. He wanted the dandruff gone. He wanted his hairline to “come back.” And most of all, he wanted his hair to stop feeling so weak that, as he put it, “Lagta hai kuchh hai hi nahin… usmein jaan hi nahin hai.”

When hair fall isn’t sudden - just quietly constant

On the call, Amit shared that his hair had been gradually getting worse for “chaar-paanch saal.” No sudden episode, no one dramatic event. Just slow thinning, breakage, and the kind of daily shedding that starts to feel permanent.

He hadn’t tried any medical treatment before Traya - only “gaav ka jamashuddha sarson ka tel.” It was familiar, comforting, and for years it felt like enough.

Until it didn’t.

Because now there was heavy dandruff too - something he’d already mentioned in his hair test. And dandruff doesn’t just sit on the scalp politely. When it becomes persistent, it often brings itching, irritation, and a scalp environment where hair becomes more fragile.

That’s why dandruff and dry scalp hair loss is not just a cosmetic complaint. It’s a scalp health problem that can push hair to fall more easily - especially when hair is already thinning.

The root cause Traya focused on first: scalp + internal foundation

What stood out in Amit’s conversation wasn’t only the hairline worry - it was the combination: heavy dandruff, thinning strands, and long-term male pattern hair loss.

So the coach anchored his plan in two things:
First, clear the scalp and reduce dandruff with clinically-backed topical care. Second, build internal support with Ayurvedic digestion and metabolism-focused tablets and daily nourishment - because hair health depends on how well your body processes and absorbs what you eat. That digestion and hair fall connection is often what people miss when they only focus on oils and shampoos.

And importantly, she gave him something he didn’t have before: a simple, repeatable routine.

Q: Can dandruff actually cause hair fall?

Yes. When dandruff leads to itching, inflammation, and scalp buildup, hair can shed more easily - mostly because the scalp environment becomes unhealthy. Clearing dandruff helps maintain scalp health so hair can grow better.

The moment his confusion turned into a routine

Amit’s first big stress was practical: how to use everything without “messing it up.”

The coach broke it down calmly, step-by-step.

He was told to mix the small Dandruff Therapy oil shot into the larger Traya Scalp Oil bottle and keep it ready. Then, use the oil at least twice a week, about 30 minutes before washing.

His Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%) would be used two to three times a week to reduce dandruff and control fungal buildup, helping calm itching and flaking so the scalp can stay clean and supported.

And the Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2%) - his biggest confusion - was clarified: apply it three times a week at night, spread gently on the scalp (no massage), sleep, and wash in the morning.

He repeated it back in his own words to confirm: night lotion at night, sleep, then scalp oil in the morning, wait 30 minutes, then shampoo.

He just needed someone to say: you’re doing it right.

“Minoxidil lifetime lagana padta hai?” - the fear behind the question

Then came the question Amit had been holding back, based on what friends had told him.

“Minoxidil dete hain aap log… toh kya lifetime lagana padta hai?”

Under that question was a bigger fear: If I stop later, will my hair start falling again?

The coach explained it in the frame of his condition: male pattern hair loss often needs maintenance. Recommendations can continue long-term to manage and maintain results - and the final call is always the customer’s.

Amit’s honesty came through immediately: “Main use karna nahin chahta… chhod diya toh bal uthne na lag jaye.”

He wasn’t being difficult. He was trying to protect himself from another disappointment.

The internal support he was already taking (and why it mattered)

Amit also asked a very real, very daily-life question: can he take multiple tablets together?

He’d been prescribed internal support, and he wanted to be sure it was safe and manageable. The coach reassured him and reiterated his schedule: Digest Boost (morning and night), Gutt Shuddhi (night), Hair Ras (two tablets morning and night), Hair Vitamin (one capsule in the morning), and Health Tatva (morning and night).

In Traya’s Ayurvedic approach, this internal layer is not “extra.” It’s part of a personalized hair treatment plan - especially when the goal is to support digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall balance while the scalp routine handles dandruff and irritation.

A timeline that felt realistic, not magical

Amit didn’t need dramatic promises. He needed clarity.

The coach set expectations with an 8-month horizon:
In the first 3 months, the focus would be internal health and dandruff. From months 4 to 6, he could expect hair fall reduction and better follicular health. From month 3 onward, he might start noticing “tiny baby small hair” regrowth.

She also said something many brands avoid saying: hairline regrowth is harder. She shared that they’ve seen hairline regrowth in some cases, but it isn’t guaranteed - and what Traya can strongly aim for is preventing further recession and improving density where hair still exists.

Amit paused, processed, and said it plainly: even if the hairline doesn’t fully come back, he wants the remaining hair to get thicker.

That’s a real win.

Resolution: a plan he could follow, and support he could return to

By the end of the call, the change wasn’t in his scalp yet - it was in his mindset.

He went from “How do I use this?” to “Okay, I can do this.” He learned he could call back anytime, use the app’s guidance, and even track progress with follow-ups. He booked his next check-in for the 18th.

For someone who had been watching his hair slowly thin for years, that structure matters. Because consistent care - oil, shampoo, night lotion, and internal support - is what turns a kit into a routine, and a routine into results.
