From Dandruff to Digestion: Aman's Hair Reset

From Dandruff to Digestion: Aman's Hair Reset

Traya Journey at a Glance

  • The problem: Aman, a 25-year-old from Delhi NCR, had ongoing hair fall for nearly 3 years, along with dandruff that used to get “heavy.”
  • What seemed to be driving it: A mix of mild dandruff, digestive issues (gas, poor digestion, stomach discomfort), and nutrition/metabolism gaps - a classic digestion and hair fall connection.
  • What he used: Anti-Dandruff Shampoo + Anti-Dandruff Night Lotion, Traya Scalp Oil (with booster mixed in), plus Hair Ras, Health Tatva, Hair Vitamin, and Gutt Shuddhi.
  • Timeline he was guided for: 1–2 months focus on internal health + dandruff, 3–4 months scalp improvement and reduced hair fall, 5 months visible changes.
  • The shift: From random “online oil and shampoo” trials to a structured, coach-led, personalized hair treatment plan with clear routines and follow-ups.

The day he admitted, “Hair loss to hota hi hai”

Aman didn’t sound dramatic on the call. He sounded… tired. The kind of tired you get when something keeps happening in the background of your life and you stop expecting it to change.

When his Traya hair coach called after his kit delivery, she asked the simplest question: how long has the hair fall been going on?

“Delhi mein… almost three years,” Aman said.

And even though he’d tried a few things - “online mein dekhta hoon… kabhi oil laga liya, kabhi dandruff shampoo” - nothing had stuck long enough to feel like a plan. It was more like constant patchwork.

What made him pause, though, was realizing this wasn’t just about hair. He also dealt with frequent gas, stomach discomfort after eating (“kuchh bhi ulta seedha kha liya… pet mein dard hota hai”), and a sense that food just didn’t digest well. On top of that, dandruff had been heavy earlier - recently it had reduced a bit with rosemary water and oil, but he still said, “Hair loss to hota hi hai.”

When hair fall isn’t “just hair fall”

As the coach kept asking questions, the story started forming a clearer shape.

Aman mentioned low blood pressure readings (“65–64”), occasional headaches, and the most consistent thread: digestion that felt unreliable. Sometimes even normal food seemed to trigger discomfort. He wasn’t on any medication at the moment, though he did take a creatine supplement for stamina.

Then came the coach’s observation from his hair test: his root causes weren’t only dandruff.

She told him clearly: for him, the key drivers looked like digestion, metabolism, nutrition, and dandruff.

That combination matters because dandruff can weaken roots and block the scalp environment, while poor digestion can affect how well nutrients from food actually reach the follicles. When the internal system is struggling, hair often becomes the silent “output” that starts thinning or shedding first.

A simple way to think about it

Dandruff isn’t only flakes - it can become a scalp situation where itching, blockage, and irritation make roots weaker. And digestion issues aren’t only about discomfort - if the gut isn’t absorbing well, the body can’t reliably “send” nourishment to hair.

Q: Can dandruff trigger hair loss?

Yes. As Aman’s coach explained, dandruff can block the scalp’s pores and weaken roots. When the scalp is irritated or you’re dealing with recurring flakes and itching, hair fall can increase - and fixing the scalp environment often becomes step one.

The doubts he voiced (the honest, practical ones)

Aman’s questions weren’t fear-based; they were routine-based - the kind people ask when they want to do it right.

He asked if he could take multiple tablets together: “Hair Vitamin, Hair Ras, Health Tatva… ek saath le sakta hoon na?” The coach reassured him he could.

He asked how much oil to apply and whether it needed to be used like “drops.” The coach clarified: only as much as the scalp needs.

And he asked something very Delhi NCR-coded: “Yahan ka paani… normal supply ka use karoon ya filter?” He was basically trying to remove every possible obstacle before starting - because three years of hair fall can make anyone cautious.

The turning point: a routine that finally sounded doable

Aman hadn’t started the kit yet because he was waiting for guidance. This call became his instruction manual - and, quietly, his confidence boost.

The coach laid out a plan that didn’t overwhelm him:

She explained that the first phase of his journey would focus on dandruff and internal health, and only once dandruff reduced would the next stage focus on hair growth actives (she mentioned he’d be switched to a hair active serum later, and that initial shedding could happen when starting it).

Then she gave him a clear schedule:

He had received:

  • Anti-dandruff Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2% based, designed to reduce dandruff and prevent fungal growth while soothing the scalp with Aloe Vera as per Traya’s positioning)
  • Anti-dandruff Night Lotion (Ketoconazole 2% w/v; used at night for stubborn dandruff and scalp build-up support)
  • Scalp Oil + booster bottle (he was told to mix the smaller bottle into the larger one, then apply before shampoo)

And the “how-to” became easy to picture:
He’d use the night lotion three nights a week, applying it across the scalp and leaving it on (no massage). On alternate days, he’d apply the oil before washing his hair - twice a week, at least 30 minutes before shampoo, and then wash with the anti-dandruff shampoo.

For someone who’d been casually trying “oil here, shampoo there,” this kind of structure can feel like relief.

The inside-out support he was given

Along with scalp care, his kit also included internal support - because his coach had linked his shedding to digestion, metabolism, and nutrition.

Here’s what he was guided to take:

  • Hair Ras: 2 tablets morning and 2 tablets evening, after meals. In Traya’s Ayurvedic logic, Hair Ras supports scalp and hair health by balancing pitta dosha, improving blood circulation to follicles, and nourishing deeper tissues like asthi dhatu.
  • Health Tatva: 1 tablet morning and evening after meals, positioned as a digestive stimulant supporting nutrient absorption and metabolism (and it’s contraindicated in gastric ulcers).
  • Gutt Shuddhi: 1 tablet after dinner for gut detox support and mild constipation relief; it’s positioned to improve gut motility and reduce toxin buildup.
  • Hair Vitamin: 1 tablet after breakfast to support nutritional gaps and include natural DHT blockers like pumpkin seed extract, along with biotin and essential vitamins/minerals.

This wasn’t framed to him as “take these and hair will magically grow.” It was framed as: fix what’s happening inside, clear the scalp environment, then go after hair density.

The timeline that kept him steady

Aman also needed to hear something many people don’t get told clearly: results take time.

His coach mapped it out:
In the first one to two months, focus is internal health and dandruff. By three to four months, hair fall reduction and scalp improvement. And by five months, visible changes.

He even asked directly if he’d have to continue for five months. The answer was yes - and after that, he’d be guided on what to continue.

That’s often what changes everything: not a miracle product, but a realistic runway.

Resolution: what “progress” looks like for Aman

Aman’s call ended before we hear a final outcome - but the transformation in this story is still real.

It’s the shift from confusion to clarity.

From, “I’ve tried some oils I saw online,” to “Okay, I know what to apply, when to apply it, what to take after meals, and what results to expect by month five.” He even agreed to upload his crown and back-of-head photos - because tracking progress matters when you’re rebuilding trust with your hair.

And sometimes, that’s the first win: not instant regrowth, but finally feeling like you’re not guessing anymore.
